I second Sonic Boom, intro and ending. Also the game Tetris Attack on snes has a lot of good music.

most of the stuff on Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X and X-2, Zelda: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess....some other random stuffs i can't think of right now...

i don't know if anyone else counts songs on Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but i like a lot of the stuffs on those 2 as well

i like the music in kingdom hearts
and i like the mario song,

from what i played, the devil may cry 3/4 what ever the new one is, soundtrack is my thing

i say any of the last two elder scrolls (morrowind, oblivion) had a great sound track.

both the shenmues were great, though i prefere the first one.

if i remember correctly redfaction also had a good one.

ahh how could i forget, the first fanstasy star for dreamcast, and the first one for gamecube(not the turn based, card game one)

i thought the snake eater soundtrack was great to, particular the opening music video, it sounds and looks as if it was modeled after an old school james bond, which im pretty sure thats what they were going for.

A lot of TWEWY's music, the theme to Trauma Center: New Blood (one of the best Wii games out there. Do you have it? No? Then get it. NOW. It's 20 bucks now.), the Fallout 3 soundtrack, Portal's music, the Tales of Vesperia opening theme (if that counts), as well as a lot of others.

An untitled story soundtrack.

Seek and Destroy for PS2 music.

The music from ratchet and clank. (ALL OF IT!)

Baba yetu from civilisation.

Hrm, i've played a lot of video games, they all have this little melody that makes me wanna play em again (i often find myself putting words that have no damn meaning onto them XD)

Any of the Final Fantasies from 5 to 9 + Tactics, Chrono Trigger + its sequel (ALL the boss musics in those games are so good ~.~). Grandia. Tomba 2 (it's a bit childish, but meh). Legend of Dragoon (No one even mentionned this great game yet? o.o). Wild ARMS 2 (western theme rpgs ftw!). Dungeon Siege + the expansion (don't have the second...). Warcraft 3 + TFT + WoW. Morrowind. Medievil 2. Spyro 1,2,3 :p. Crash Bandicoot 2,3 + Wrath of Cortex. Fable was ok but meh. I have to add Golden sun and 2 (hehe). Most of the Zelda series (that means the first gameboy one, oracle of season / time, Ocarina of Time, Majora's mask (gotta love the different ocarina musics per race mask ). Some of the Yu-gi-oh GBA musics..... <.< And i somewhat remember the old sonic musics....those were nice ^^;

Anyways, that said, i'm not very critical about video game music... Genre mostly plays a part in what i'm willing to play though

I'm kind of surprised no one's mentioned this, or maybe I missed it, but there's a site that has user-modified and remixed video game tracks called "Over-clocked Remix" that been around for years that has some REALLY good stuff. Here's a link:

Personally I like the Metroid series music.

The command and conquer and UAW tracks are realy good along with halo and the original animal crossing
