They nerfed Rolento too much in Alpha 3

BS. In Alpha 3, a good Rolento is annoying to fight against - and I've seen Rolento players completely mop the floor with their opponents numerous times at my college's arcade.
Also, his standing medium punch is difficult to defend against when the player spams it (especially when the opponent is locked down). And his attack patterns are quite difficult to predict and counter, as a lot of his specials look the same during startup.

To each their own, but Alpha 3's "Ism" system is one of several factors (including damage reduction for attacks & throws, the guard meter, specific base stats for each Ism, and Ism-specific character movesets) that make it a much deeper game than Alpha 1 & 2.

Sorry, but the SF3 characters were not "bad clones of existing characters."

Idunno, they came off that way to me. "Here's a boxer guy, here's a stretchy guy..." etc.

I still play it sometimes, I just never really "got into it". Nostalgia probably has a lot to do with it.

Hmm, well I decided to play through a bunch of my DC fighters yesterday, and I'll say one thing: somehow it's a lot easier to do moves with the DC controller in SF3 than it is in Alpha 3 :x Especially the ever-useful "down-to-forward".
