If only Stardew Valley wasn't for the PC.

ANYWAY, back on the subject. I'm currently playing both Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity on my 3DS (they're ambassador games if you're wondering)

Here are my comments on my experience with each game:

Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones - So far so good! I'm currently leveling up my low-level units (Colm, Eirika, The Pegasus lady, ect.) so that they can go up to par with the invincible Seth (the overpowered horseman!). I raged quit when I got Eirika slaughtered by one of those pesky Archers! (and my strategy was going so well! DAMN THAT FIGHTER WITH HIGH DEFENSE! I HAD ALL OF MY UNITS HIT HIM AND YET HE DIDN'T DIE!! ! :x )

*sigh* Moving on!

F-Zero: Maximun Velocity - I used to hate this game back in the day when I first got it as one of the games I got as an early adopter of the 3DS, mainly because it didn't have Captain Falcon in it or any of it's iconic Characters (Black Doom, Samurai Goroh, Picco, ect.) But once I got passed that (and my love for F-Zero: GP Legend) I found it to be pretty fun! :o The reason why was because of the controls and how challenging it was to master it as well as its tracks, racers, and cups. I highly reccomend it if you love F-Zero for the racing mechanics alone! :thumleft:

^I can't get The Sacred Stones either, since whomever owned my 3DS before me didn't get the 3DS early either! Oh well. Back to Fates Revelation! I have Daikon to harvest, characters to pair up, and jester hats to buy!

Have you played F-Zero GX? That is the best game in the series in my opinion, even if the story mode is frustratingly hard. I hope one day Nintendo brings Gamecube games to the virtual console so players who didn't grow up with it can experience the great games on that console. And so I can finally play Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance without spending 100 dollars.

Seriously though, the fire emblem elitist fans tell you to play the older games if you only played Awakening, but they seem to fail to realize that all of the older games cost an absurd amount of money.

I really like it. You can farm, you can fish, you can battle monsters in a cave and so on. It's $14.99. Also the developer has plans to add multiplayer of some sort, might be a while though. The game was made by one guy, it took him several years to do it.

"I Love Coffee" on iPad. Surprisingly fun for a free game.

That's kind of how indie titles work, though. Publishing on the PC is super easy, literally anyone can do it, for free (depending on which distribution method you're aiming for). Publishing on consoles/handhelds, however, takes a lot of paperwork, a lot of time, lawyers, approval, devkits, major code re-writes, and lots of money. If they don't release the game on the PC, then chances of raising enough money to port it to other platforms are very, very low.

Dying Light from Techland, it is very well optimized on PC and I am getting a constant 100-120 frames per second at 1440p with a single 980TI SC.

G Sync at 144hz is amazing for FPS games and the added frame rate is great for Counterstrike.

What I'm playing:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation (Android)
I played the card game when I was younger and decided to give this a shot. It's come a long way since the early days, when cards could be separated into staple or junk. I'm enjoying it a lot! Decks are reasonably priced (~£3.80 for a well-constructed deck of 50+ cards) and the single-player AI is about as good as it could be. PS. somebody play cards with me because my anxiety has me afraid of playing online multi against strangers D:

HITMAN (PC)
Inconsistent framerate gives me a headache so I'm waiting for fixes. I think I've been spoiled because anything lower than 40fps induces nausea for me now, but also this game looks pretty dated. Oh well, if it's half as good as Blood Money then I'll probably be satisfied (as much as I can be with the single post-intro mission they've released)

The Witcher Enhanced Edition (PC)
This is the only Witcher game that I have yet to finish, and I was hesitant to start it given that it's generally considered the worst of the series, but I've been enjoying it more than 2 thus far. The writing/translation and VA is a little more awkward but not as hysterically bad as the original version was, from what I've seen of it. Combat is basic but serviceable, easy enough to get through if you prepare for tough fights but requiring enough input that it doesn't feel like a grind to get through. Gonna load up 2 after I finish (which might be a while, this game seems longer than that one was) and choose the alternate second act (which will be Roche's, this time). The first two games definitely have problems but I'm willing to work through that because 3 is probably the best RPG ever made, definitely the most well-written; seeing the progress CD Projekt RED made from being a Polish game translation company, to a small developer, to making an extensive 100+ hour game with the best overall production values I've ever seen is worth experiencing in itself.

The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna (PC)
Like the main game, but takes no time to coddle you through the basics. This (the original & expansion) is the best puzzle game you'll play this year, if you haven't already, so play it. Okay? Credit to the developers for great post-release support and recently for releasing a beta Vulkan renderer, it doesn't work very well right now naturally but it's great to see the successor to OpenGL being adopted in a commercial game!

The combat system in The first Witcher is the only gripe I have with it, I just can't feel immersed by it.

It's definitely very 'gamey', for lack of a better word. And a lot of the time Geralt seemingly refuses to fight when you click, he'll get stuck in a weird animation or whatever, or the cursor will bug out when/before you click to continue a combo and ruin it. It's janky. But that's the norm for any low-budget RPG, and for that matter most high-budget ones too -- I'd rather play Witcher's janky combat than Bethesda combat.

Guess what game I'm not happy about not being able to play? Bloodborne. I'm seriously going to spend all of my money on a PS4 and that game at some point and then starve to death and possibly not regret my decision

Playing SUPERHOT. Which must always be capitalized for whatever reason. Playing a ton of it. Holy crap, I havent had such fun in quite some time. This game is bloody perfect. I *think* it might be on consoles as well, I dunno, I'm playing the PC version. Already did the story mode, which is very short, the meat of the game is everywhere else, and I just dont tire of it.

There's other games to play too that I acquired recently. And then tomorrow I'm going to try out Yandere Simulator. Enough exposure to that game from Youtube and my resistance to it broke down. Now I have to have it. I almost feel an obsession already starting with that one. Which would be really ironic...
