Yeah, that's been basically everyone's response to that game. "I hate sports but I love this game and I dont know why!"

no glitches yet on version 0.02.

memory card crapped out after what had to have been 12 years of reliable gaming, everything lost. gamecubes themselves, they're durable f***ers.

doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of them, though.

Those are odd version numbers. Are they for Metroid Prime itself?

Hello all again, I do not know if this is the best place to put this, but it is about video games, so why not? I do not want to self promote or anything so you wont find any links here. But here is the thing, I am a co-founder of a video game page, and we are doing autism awareness month, and thought it would be cool to profile some people who have ASD, let them share a little about themselves and about their gaming (I.e favourite game, pic of it or vid, best gaming experience, etc). If you are interested in this, you an send me a private message on here. I am new to this site and if this is not okay to post then it can be deleted. sorry!

My favourite games are currently Call of Duty Black ops 3 for the Xbox One.

My favourite overall gaming series is the Far Cry Series.

You could ask JML101582, he's been doing some awesome stuff lately.

It's okay to post, but you might want to make a separate thread for it instead of posting in this one.

Yep, there are actually three US versions of the Gamecube version of MP. There is also the PAL version and the Japanese version. You can see the main differences between the versions here.

http://www.metroid2002.com/version_differences_version_number.php

actually, they use a hyphen in place of a period, but that key doesn't work on my laptop.

version 0.00 was the original, NTSC release i received (most likely accidentally) when i bought Echoes on amazon. that version uses a faster loader and this tends to crash when loading the chozo ruins and the furnace. i started my save file there and when alone in a dark room, the sound of your GameCube crapping out for the first time ever is rather unpleasant.

version 0.02 came bundled with the Echoes demo disc. i got it when i got my 'cube. it uses a slower loader and should ordinarily never crash (but i still get tense whenever i have to visit the furnace.)

Friends of Mineral Town isn't fair =| All of these women have men already after them, and it keeps showing me cutscenes, and I feel bad for these guys and don't want to steal their girls from them >_< Gah.

I need to check a guide or something though, because I haven't seen any girl at the church yet. Maybe she's not in this one =(

I've finally completed Medal Of Honor: European Assault on the PS 2. The final level took at least 30 attempts, which means about 12-15 hours for that section alone, as there are no save points or even checkpoints within it. This was the toughest and most frustrating gaming experience I think I've ever encountered, with the possible exception of the final mission on Soviet Strike, an early PSX game.

If you have the right console I might have recommended checking out Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii, which has all 3 of the Metroid prime console games. This was what I ended up downloading onto my Wii U from the e-shop when I decided to play every Metroid game (except pinball). It would probably be more stable, although there is a difference in that the controls are through the Wii remote, all 3 controlled like the third entry.

i bought all three of the prime games separately. retro did a fantastic job bringing metroid into 3d, hopefully they can work on the next 3d metroid, whenever that may be.

that glitch actually can be avoided when on a wii, but after my memory card crapped out i'm not so comfortable swapping those around consoles. :?

^I'd rather explore than shoot things. That's probably the only reason why I'm keeping my copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I think you'd like it way better than the GBC games, it's really good. Brings back a lot of memories of the SNES original, even has similar translation errors =)

Hopefully I'll be able to buy it as a graduation present to myself. Yay for funny translations! :) That reminds me of FFVII...'This guy are sick.'
