I believe it was the original Legend of Zelda. Either that or Elevator or Super Mario.

For console gaming that honor would go to Super Mario World Advanced 2 for the Gameboy Advance. It came bundled with my first game system, a purple Gameboy Advance. I still have the game and the system.

As far as I can remember, my first video game ever was Pokemon Blue on our Gameboy Color.

Super Mario Land for the Gameboy, which is a lot different from the rest of the Mario games. Because of this I actually have trouble playing the other 2D games since I'm not used to them but can run through that one like a pro.

Most likely, Doom.

First off greetings to everybody. The first video game that I played was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which my Mother bought for me and I consider it one (Of Two) of my favorite video games of all time (The other video game being Heavy Rain, which my Mother bought me as well).

Yours Sincerely, The_Truthteller

Excluding coin-operated arcade PacMan, it would be the remake of Halo Combat Evolved.

I think the first video game I ever played was Yoshi's Story on the N64. It was either that or Super Mario 64. Or Elmo's Letter Adventure. One of those three, definitely. I just know that I started in the late '90s when I was about three or four years old. Cool thing is that we still have those games and our N64 is still in a usable condition.

Years ago around the late 80's i played my first game. Was on something before the C64, some archaic dicksmith branded thing. Ran fully on tapes. I consider my first real game on the C64, was international soccer run from a cartridge.

Btw hello, i'm new around here. Nice to finally be part of this community.

I forgot. It's either the Super Mario classic or Duck Hunt.

Deus Ex, the classic cyberpunk RPG/FPS hybrid. (Spent ~6,000 hours on it total, not including mods.. I have no life.)

It would have been a knock-off of Pong. My dad bought me one of those "TV Games" consoles with a few Pong variants and a light gun. I wasn't particularly grabbed by it as almost all the games were for 2 players and I was an only child.

Then I got to play Asteroids on an Atari VCS on a demo machine in Croydon while out with a few school friends. I begged my parents for a VCS for Christmas and that was it. Damage done...

The earliest game I can recall playing is either Super Mario: The Lost Levels on Super Nintendo, or Donkey Kong Country, also on Super Nintendo.

some pingpong and wall breaking game, before the MSX thing came around
that was boring
usually you had one ok-ish joystick and one that wasn't working very well

I literally grew up with video games, as my Dad was playing them probably since before I was born, so it's a bit hard to narrow it down to the first one. I suppose one of the first games I remember playing is the platformer game for MS-DOS called Secret Agent. I remember not playing it that much since, as a very young child, it was difficult and I didn't understand what I was really doing.

That last phrase sums up just about every game I played until I was at least 8 years old...
