^That sounds like a neat idea.
Well I'm going to ask that anyone who posts anything that can be considered news to be a punishable offense.
Earthbound posted a topic on the site discussion board claiming I'm ruining this board, monopolizing the board, killing the other threads etc...
Oh good grief.
I went and looked, and just... you know, I didnt really have any problems with the guy before, but maybe now I do. There was no call for that. The gaming section here on this forum is slower than a dead frog, and all you've done is post industry-related news. And not exactly often (there only really IS industry-related news every now and then). "Spam" my ass.
It only even appears to be, ahem, "many" topics because of how dirt-slow this place is; on the main sections of the forums they'd be few and far between. Did the mods think of ANY of this before issuing some damn warning? I've not had actual run-ins with mods on this forum before but one thing I've heard over, and over, and over, is that some of them (no idea which ones, if they do this it's probably only a couple of specific ones, I'd guess) tend to have knee-jerk reactions to things and may not actually check stuff before throwing warnings around; I get that this is a big forum but that doesnt matter, you *have* to take time to really look at every complaint when moderating. If they DID really look, then they're maybe being just a BIT too strict, considering the length of time between new topics being made here.
I mean, really. "Spam". I just.... what.
Besides.... hasnt Earthbound posted a few topics of his own, in a kinda short time? Or is my memory off?
Well, either way, I hope you dont feel that you must leave the forum but if you do end up doing that, well.... honestly at this point I cant blame you too much. I'm only still here because I have a couple of friends here, otherwise I'd be long gone at this point. Damn place irritates me.
viewtopic.php?t=317817Here's the complaint which he posted on the site related board.
I knew it was him, before I remembered that board existed.
Essentially the staff/mod said that all news, game information, system information, PR, etc... for Nintendo should be posted in an overarching Nintendo news thread, instead of flooding and "spamming" the board with numerous topics about the "Same" thing.
Post too many threads is now considered spam, if anyone complains about the frequency of the topics.
This mod is 18 years old and wants to make things right, because it's inferred that it isn't the first time that a user complained about me (which is inferred to be Earthbound).
