So far, actually, the game is bloody fantastic. Even I dont hate anything about it yet. That's.... rare.

But I"m going to do a seperate topic about the game (since I"m going to have more to say about it later, and it's one of my favorite franchises after all) and will give info in there.

Sheik is epic! I still can't decide if Sheik is Zelda just in disguise or actually Zelda transformed into a Sheikah boy. My friend likes the latter idea.

Go for it! You are welcome to post new threads. There was a misunderstanding between certain members some while back but it wasn't meant to imply that people couldn't post new threads.

I'm not really a gamer but would like to see what makes this one so special!

@SabbraCadabra

Miitomo I personally find it to be an enjoyable way to communicate with others (you have to add them to your list).
I also enjoy taking Miifotos (you can use real pictures or preinstalled backgrounds) and dressing up my Mii (lots of clothes options).

Also the app gives you upwards of 40 My Nintendo Reward coins each day.

Now hopefully I can beat DQIV DS tonight.... Kinda burning out on RPGs at the moment.

It was a good game.

Sadly we never got X in the West because it's an MMORPG.

Anyways you can get DQ1-5 on mobile right now in the West.

DQVIIR and DQVIIIR launch later this year in the West on 3DS.

So I made the mega thread, it's up now.

Feel free to post in it and any news items related to Nintendo.

I have asked one of the mods to lock and delete or hide all the other threads of mine on the front page.

Now I must go download the Mario theme from My Nintendo Rewards and put Kirby Triple Deluxe in my 3DS.

^I wish I could play it...
^^^^ I once saw DQX in EB Games. The only things I don't like about DQIX is the non-skippable cutscenes and only one save file. I hope it gets updated to the 3DS.

I'm going to play Rune Factory 3 and 4 when I get home. :)

You mean 1-6, and they also have VIII. But not Monsters.

Wow, only 12 years late for I and II. That might be the longest official localization ever.
Weird that they brought back the "olde English" instead of just using Nob's translation from the GBC games.

I wonder if they added any of the GBC stuff into III.

IV-VI look like straight DS ports.

i'm seeking out a new, less wobbly gamecube controller for RE4 so i can maneuver better, in the meantime i completed the neverhood for the 4th time. for a game with such low replay value, i find myself coming back to it somehow.

i now own an actual, legitimate copy of the game with jewel case and booklet. (no box though, those are too bloody expensive, pushing 200 dollars with some sellers). this time i ran it using archimedes/the neverhood restoration project running off of the real disc, for the most genuine experience. 8)

my previous playthroughs involved using scummvm to run the game via files ripped off a FAKE disc and copied to my hard drive. so, no disc required.

fake as in, an off color, fuzzy image printed onto a blank CDR burnt with the game files, and shipped to me in a replacement jewel case sans booklet. i thought the disc was too pristine to be from 1996, but meh, it fooled me for well over two months.

and it ran fine.

I just discovered that I own Dark Souls, so I'm tempted to start it up for a few minutes just to say that I tried it and didn't like it much : )

Is that a problem with old gamecube controllers?

Mine joystick is so wobbly on my GameCube controller and I think its broke cause when I was playing Zelda with it on my Wii, when I went back on the stick Link moved slower towards the camera then away from the camera. Its a piece of crap and I ordered a classic controller off ebay and that one didn't work either so I normally just rip stuff from my Wii and play it on dolphin.

Better graphics anyway and if you have a soft modded Wii, you can rip RE4 and play with up to date textures on dolphin. Some disc drives can read gamecube games but I never had luck with that.

Assuming his PC can handle Dolphin comfortably anyway. Emulation is pretty cool but isn't always viable for everyone. The laptop I'm using doesn't even really handle PCSX2 (not at acceptable resolutions anyway).
