^I have Super Metroid on the Wii, but I couldn't beat Kraid, so I just gave up.

Kraid is a pretty tricky boss, but I think I managed to beat him by spamming rockets.

Anyway, lately I've been working through Postal. I recently got Redux, but I still want to beat the original with its tank controls and crazy rocket spam enemies. Even with a fully loaded arsenal and the auto shotgun, the later levels are still pretty nuts. Actually, I kind of have a love/hate relationship with the auto shotgun because it's a really effective weapon, but it also chews through ammunition really quickly. Unfortunately, the M16 isn't nearly as effective as it was on earlier levels due to all the armored enemies.

I don't know, it depends on what you mean by "bad game to play". There's a couple of really sad parts, you might cry, but I wouldn't say the game is going to be a trigger for depression or anything like that, unless you're emotionally unstable.

I would say that it's worth it, but I don't know you.

^Thanks a lot! :)

I've kind of become addicted to Rune Factory 4 again. :(

Playing the "Midway Arcade Treasures" compilation. Especially enjoying Robotron and Blaster, as well as Joust 2 and Sinistar.

Bought a 3DS and I've been playing it constantly. Specifically, Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies and Pokemon Omega Ruby; also bought SMT4 (3 is probably my favourite JRPG ever) but I felt like something more relaxing first, hence Pokemon~

Enjoying Dual Destinies a lot so far, glad that I replayed Apollo Justice beforehand because there are quite a few callbacks here. I like Apollo (and Trucy) a lot, it's a shame that the cases in his game were generally very weak.

Omega Ruby is the first Pokemon game that I've played since the first generation, I think. Enjoying it a lot so far, even if it is lacking in depth. Monster collecting games are always fun.

I'm playing Okami on the Wii, and it's now one of my favourite games ever! :D

Witcher 3, it's actually lived up to the hype so far. I bought it months ago when it was on sale on Steam, finally got around to playing it.

I must say, I envy you having not already completed the game. By far the best character writing in an RPG, there's a level of panache that no other developer has successfully managed, certainly not with the depth of content that W3 has -- it's a LONG game.

Big respect for CDPR for constantly patching it. The patch that came about around the Blood and Wine expansion release added new features that were completely separate from the expansion, including a new UI and a Gwent checklist... it's rare to see that nowadays when AAA games come out with crippling bugs that are never fixed.

Oh yeah, on this note I just finished Blood and Wine and didn't post about it while playing, so! Toussaint is beautiful, it has its own unique atmosphere just like the areas in the first game, albeit one that is more relaxed than the gloom of Velen and Novigrad. Not going to post spoilers so I'll just say that the main quest was satisfying, there's one new character who I really liked and the ending rounded off the whole Witcher saga very well.

I've played that on the (original) XBox, but that crappy controller makes Robotron and Smash TV pretty frustrating to play.

Been playing a lot of Battle Dome. I think it's probably the best example of a team multiplayer shooter in VR. There's multiple weapons, including pistols, an assault rifle, a submachine gun, sniper rifle, and a shield. There's also several variants of guns that aren't intended to be shot at people, instead they shoot arcing orbs that turn the ground where they land the colour of your team. You can teleport to any location that is your team's colour. Objectives range from destroying the enemy's core to king of the hill, deathmatch, and there's a co-op PVE mode. Games are all about map control and trying to get the flank on the other team, whilst preventing them from getting the flank.

The game reminds me a lot of Splatoon. It's currently in early access and receiving frequent updates.
