hmmm, "aspie quest" does seem to ring a bell but I don't remember a clan or a cc *shrugs*

I used to be obsessed with it. I made my account, Michael_922, in September 2004, and I recently quit in either January or February 2009. Four years of playing! I also became a member in October 2005. I quit because the game got boring to me, and I have no interest in MMORPGs anymore now that I have Brawl and a Wii and great forums to attend to

I am level 90, and love doing quests. My quest points are a little bit above average for my level according to the surprise of people when they ask me my Quest Points.

However, I still go on my account to do holiday events, and I'm never giving my account away, so don't ask! Lol. I've had my account for four years, and worked extremely hard on it. I would never give it away under any circumstance.

I've been working hard the last few months to get my levels up in areas I feel could do with improvement. Have also finally knocked over a few quests that have been on my "incomplete" list for way too long - eg. Recipe for Disaster and Desert Treasure. I have been making a bit of money from farming toadflax. Have a full dragon plate set now, but having just acquired a barrows set, wondering if all the money tied up in the dragon set might be better employed in getting skills, such as smithing, herblore and construction, up. Aiming to get a few more skills to at least 80 so as to be a little more useful in Stealing Creation. Now that I have Ancient Magicks, there is going to be some serious retribution in that game! Lol

For me I find it is a game with the right balance of a lot of things - if you get bored with any particular activity you can just move on and come back to it if you feel up to it again. Ideal for us Aspie types. Not so overwhelmed by the social aspects of it like I once was.

I've been gradually building my character's stats up since last posting. Does anyone else find the fruition of a goal in Reunscape kind of disappointing? Like, you work for weeks to get a certain stat up and when you do, it's like "So what now?" Same with quests - you bust a gut finishing one and it's kind of a let down?

Lol, I used to play it AGES ago soon after it came out in like... 2002. Stopped playing a few years ago. Preferred the first version, or 'Classic'.

I quit playing after the major changes way back when. Tried again about a year ago, and just couldn't get back into it. I've been looking for a replacement ever since, and there's just nothing else like it that I've been able to find. After reaching level 90 or so, there's really nothing in the game you can't do that's of any import, so it just became an empty effort to get more meaningless levels. I love that it's practically impossible to max out your character. And there's lots of different activities. But it seemed they removed a huge part of the social aspect when they put in the trading cap. It made it too difficult to cooperatively play. But there just doesn't seem to be any other MMO that rewards cooperative play, while not making it a requirement... no game that rewards HELPING other people. No games that have true cooperative aspects, as opposed to simply grouping... doing the same activity in the same general area.

I believe the Aspergers clan chat was taken over by a group of RS players from another forum like Wrongplanet. The clan chat name they use is "Aspies" to the best of my knowledge.

Nice to see there are other players around here, all I saw to begin with was posts about The Other Game . (that's WoW for the non-RS types lol) I am very much a solo gamer so Runescape is the only online game that really appeals to me. I love it! I've played it since 2004, though I have been kind of lazy and I'm not very good. I do have a yo-yo and rubber chicken! Though no zombie head, scarf or easter ring.
