Also I'd forgotten how bad the controls were for this game. Link's movement is so freaking bizarre. Always was.

There sure are alot of secret passages filled with old guys who take your money for no reason.

Have you tried Zelda Classic? It is a perfect port of the original to PC, with tons of user made campaigns and graphics mods.

yeah here is some GTA V mayhem i recorded for youtube. it's never been watched.
when you get to level 5 wanted (5 stars) it's almost imossible to survive.
the tank is not invulnerable so i had to break free and make a run for the sub while it still held together.

No... this is the first I'd heard of it. After seeing it, I clearly must have it, yep.

And it suddenly occurs to me that a huge number of the games I'm most fond of are quite similar in many ways to the first Zelda. Most of them use randomized elements though like Isaac.

Decided to take a break from Breath of the Wild and got Mass Effect Andomeda, and played a little so far. But at the same time I decided to pick up Final Fantasy XV because it was fairly cheap and I did not pick it up earlier, I remember thinking earlier that I was not too interested in the boyband looking protagonists and a general lack of interest of the FF games I have played before in finishing meant that this would probably not be the one to hook me. But actually I have been really enjoying Final Fantasy 15, the group of guys I actually quickly began to like for actually being pretty charming, and actually been kind of fun so far. Might be one that actually hooked me.

I'm playing the very first Legend of Zelda. It was so much more daunting when I was a kid  But it's still amazing.

I completed Phantom Hourglass waiting for BotW to be released, and now I'm working my way through Spirit Tracks (both for the first time). I get the feeling that I'm going to be replaying a -lot- of the Zelda games very soon. BotW keeps bringing back all these good memories of different games...

I tried replaying Zelda II, but I quickly got to the point where 15 minute breaks at work just aren't enough to make any progress, so that might need to be more of an "at home" thing. I blaze through the first Zelda about once every couple years, so that's a given. On the 3DS, I've been working on LttP, and I've been on-again-off-again with OoT 3D since it came out (not my favorite Zelda)...one of these days I'll finish it, and finally give Majora's Mask the playthrough it deserves.

For some reason, I'm really itching to return to Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, though.

Fire Emblem Fates Revelation. Maybe this time I'll actually finish it.

It shows its age, but it's very very fun.
