I've been trying to S-rank the songs in Beat Saber on hard mode. I've only dipped my toes into expert mode and I'm not ready for that yet.

Co-worker is currently playing Stardew Valley, and hearing him talk about it made me want to get back into Harvest Moon.

I'm still not sure that I'm a huge fan of Friends of Mineral Town. For some reason, it feels like a step backwards after playing HM3GBC, but I keep telling myself that I'll get used to it =P Everyone says it's the best game in the series, so how could they be wrong?

Then again, I could always just go back to 2 or 3 on the GBC, since they let you continue playing after you win. Hmm, it's a tough decision...

For now, I've fixed the power switch on my old GBA (the unlit original), and I'll be bringing that to work for a bit.

Last night, I tried playing Harvest Moon 64 for a bit, but I'm not sure if I'll keep playing it. As far as I can tell, there are no shortcuts for the controls (so you have to keep going in and out of the menu to get items from your pack), and it seems like the clock zooms by WAYYY too fast. I'm sure you get upgraded tools later, but I don't think that I can keep a handle on this game.

I'm going through the Stone Tower Temple right now, and it's awesome.

I'm obsessed with Pokemon, but am stuck in Ultra Sun. The first time I tried to capture Rayquaza, it was shiny, and stupid me forgot I had a master ball I should've used on it, and instead tried to get its HP down, accidentally defeating it - so now I'm just restarting it over and over and over waiting for another shiny Rayquaza. My brain is fixated on it, I cannot just accept a regular Rayquaza and move on, it's driving me absolutely bonkers that I should have had that shiny, so now I will have it no matter how many times I have to restart. But gosh dang it, I want to actually do something with my Pokemon again.

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. I'm determined to finally finish it.

I still haven't finished Portrait of Ruin

For some reason, after playing all of the previous titles, this one just doesn't feel right to me. Maybe it's the new art style, I don't know.

I overleveled on purpose to make things much easier for me [from Lv. 15 to Lv. 35 over a process of days]. Otherwise I'd be throwing my 3DS at the wall. If you'd like me to post the leveling trick I used, I'll gladly do so.

I'm not impressed by the artstyle, either. I've been trying to imagine what Jonathan and Charlotte might look like with Ayami Kojima style art. Ironically, Dawn of Sorrow was my first Castlevania game. I still like it, despite that. It's #3 on my list of favourite Castlevania games [Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow, unsurprisingly, are 1 and 2, with Order of Ecclesia #4]. I got Aria with Harmony of Dissonance on one cartridge, but I gave up on the latter very quickly.
Did you know that there's a really rare artbook by Kojima-san available on ebay? It has a weird name, but even just the sample pictures for it are amazing.

I'm currently playing this:

Image

That's a screenshot of the iOS version of the game, but I'm playing the PC version right now (found on itch.io).

I've played so many roguelikes and games inspired by them. So. Freaking. Many. But this might be one of the best ones I've ever seen, period.

It's made by one of my favorite developers too, Michael Brough. I've loved all of his games so far but this is by far the best.

Screenshot is probably confusing as hell, and I'm not going to try to explain what the hell is going on there, but... I can say this: The sheer depth of the game has just blown me away. Absolutely amazing.
