One interesting thing is that people say that games have gotten easier, they say that this will destroy the future of games, but there is another side to it, when I was younger I had a lot of difficulty at the games on the NES and SNES. I could never get really far in Super Mario, could only get to second level in Battletoads and I have quite a lot of memories of only playing the begining over and over again of Flintstones, Jurassic Park, space invaders, Batman and Spiderman. Nowdays, especialy on the Wii it is easier to go further, with save files and easier play that I think it is more enjoyable for many people.
But I guess I have wanted rougher games, a game I can feel immersed in, well this is why I stay away from games that are realistic shooters like warefare and tom clancy. Nintendo is good for it's immersive universe, but it just feels a bit stale to me, Smash bros is fun for the characters and I like Zelda but the cartoon version is too kiddy and Twilight, was just missing a little spark.
I resent being told that me playing FPS on a consoel will never match a PC, I hand get cramped and confused on a keyboared and mouse. I just feel more conected to the game holding a controler in my hand, and direct my character with easy to find comands, not something like a s w x d and other keys I get mixed up with my long fingers or a mouse that keeps comeing off the pad, useing my whole arm to move instead of just a finger.
Something you may not know is on PC you have unlimited ajustments you can do, for example you can change the mouse sensitivity to exactly the speed you want. Also, you can bind keys for specific guns, unlike in consoles where you have no choose but to cycle through guns and by the time you get to the gun you need your dead. Alos, have you ever heard of making your own mods, models, skins, maps and mods for a console game? I like making custom content in my games, most people don't care, because they don't make any custom content for games. Modding a game and making your own levels and models is half the fun.
