The game pretty much got boring for me after my raidleader quit the game unexpectedly, since that I didn't have anything to do except do some achievements because we weren't keeping up with the raid content (At this point we had downed maloriak) For the time being, I've gone back to runescape in order to destroy its economy while I'm waiting for the APB re-release.

I wish my roommate was bored with it. He's neglected paying bills on time for that garbage.

I don't know. It seems that everyone who has played has become terribly bored since Cataclysm. It took me 2 days to get from 80 to 85 and it wasn't even challenging. Yes, the zones are nice, yes, the new quests are nice, but it's too easy, too short. I've hit max level many times but never before have I had such an overwhelming sensation of "what now"?

Maxed all my professions, got plenty of achievements, a pile of gold, nice gear... I don't really feel like I have anything to do anymore, and this has never happened to me endgame before.

....

I'm looking into alternative MMOs. I wasn't impressed with Final Fantasy XIV which was disappointing after how much I enjoyed Final Fantasy XI.

If you are looking for a new MMO, you could always try Star Wars: The Old Republic, as that is quite new and might be 'fresh' type of game you could try. I haven't played it, but the screenshots look quite nice...

I am SO done with WoW. This last expansion was really disappointing. It's hard enough getting to know people. The cross-realm random dungeoning killed the game for me. I don't mind the heroics being HARD. I like that! But I can't play with my friends or guildies, because they've already done their random for the day and are exhausted. And even if I meet soeone decent, I'll never get to play with them again because they are from different servers!

So I'm stuck constantly playing with idiots. Grrrr.

I used to play it, but not anymore. The game started getting really terrible after they came out with Burning Crusade. I absolutely HATED the Outlands (except for Nagrand). I played off and on for a while, eventually bought Lich King and then I quit. I never got to level 80, but I did explore everything on the map and get the captain planet tabard! :P

I've been clean for over half a year now, though recently Blizzard sent me an e-mail offering me free gameplay for 7 days... That company is like a horrible drug pusher. I'll probably take them up on their offer after I'm done with finals next week, but I doubt I'll actually start paying to play again.

My story too. Though I started at game-release.

I became bored after 2 hours playing the Trial Version. It's not that different from korean MMORPGs. The only video game where grinding is acceptable (and even exciting) is the Monster Hunter series.

I don't stick to games long, so I usually don't play anything I have to pay for. I've had my fair share of WoW though, and a buddy of mine just went through a rough patch, so I got the latest expansion to play with him. I had fun with it, but wow, I'd like to avoid playing near launch dates. So many whiny players that I got during dungeons.

Anyway, RPGs always get boring for me. They are too limited for my tastes. I LOVE experimenting with build possibilities. Diablo 2, on it's release, succeeded in that for a year straight! Longest time I regularly played an RPG, and no monthly payment!

I'm on a break as of now might be forever we'll see. It's just that I've done all the quests and runs and when going on End-game HM people lose interest and they dodge the raid days and then the guild is forced to do 1 or 2 10man runs. And I didn't start playing WoW to go from 40 to 10. f**k that, I'm a PvE/End-game raider because I want to share that progress with many people and overcome the challenges together like a RAID not a group of 10 people.
(I'm very confident about my class so it has nothing to do with receiving more responsibility when you are less, I just liked to be the 1 of 40/25 who blended in with the cheers as we killed the latest "bad guy").

And I don't have much time as well, and I say do something properly or don't do it at all. Unless it's for FUN , and WoW is not for fun.

when i saw the achievment's i was hoping i could buy stuff with the points, but alas...

gear or as i called it armor, i refered to my quest to get geared as my struggle for armor. in my opinon it was way to hard to get. and by the time i got it, it was outdated.

i totally agree about guilds, i never found one i liked and i wasn't going to arse myself to get to know anyone, and the fact i am a girl gamer, i have an illness, and still live at home, can't drive, don't work, means talking to anyone on there had about an 75% chance of me taking the brunt of someone's nasty comments.

i never cared for the warcraft story at all what little i heard about made no sense, i just did quests to get xp to level.

i'm very grateful for fallout 3, i found it after quiting for the 5th time. and through this game i finally broke away from wow. i owe fallout 3 my life, which might explain my unwillingness to play any other fallout but 3.

now my statue that i bought is nothing but a constant reminder of how stupid that decision was.

No, I still have fun with the game, though I have always been more a casual player.

They dumbed the game down too much for my liking and the linear quest lines are super boring to me.
