Was just thinking 'bout this as i've had a big urge lately to get into a game or two.
I don't have the attention span to play many games, I'll go and buy a few games once or twice a year on a whim and they'll usually never get played or I'll play for 1-2 hours and that's it (i've got bioshock 2 and fallout 3 new vegas both bought last year in october/november, both still shrink wrapped lol.)

Everquest - I spent a good probably 18 months playing this game 3-4 hours a day back in 99/00. Though despite the amount of time put into it, it was more an addiction to it than actually thinking it was a favorite. I mean thinking back it just wasn't enjoyable at all and it's why i've never touched any of the newer MMOs since.

Final Fantasy 7 - I think my entire gaming existence can be likened to a drug addict. They say they are always chasing their first high and will never get it, well I'm always chasing my first true immersive gaming experience and that was FF7. I just wish I was 15 again and so easily amused and immersed in something the way I was in FF7. I mean, i played tons of games before that, but never an RPG so the whole idea of something so complete and so tangible with such a huge story and timeline was completely new to me. I always keep my eye open for new RPGs, and have played a few of the newer FFs. But of the probably dozen or so RPGs i've played since FF7 came out there have been only 3 that i've completed, FF10, Neverwinter Nights and Fallout 3.

Total Annihilation - Probably my actual favorite game of all time if I was forced to decide. My favorite genre of games, strategy.

Borderlands - Of the dozen or so games i've bought/played over the last 3-4 years this is the only one that has really hooked me in. Just had the coolest atmosphere and style to it's look and really liked the rpg/fps gameplay.

Either Oblivion, Chrono Trigger, LoZ: OoT, or any of the 'standard' Pokemon games.

Sonic CD would be at least my all time favorite. Balance of gameplay, action, music, time travel, and at this point, nostalgia.

The only downside was no Tails. But the Android rerelease solved that problem! :D

Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES was probably on par, or at least a close second. Atmosphere, storyline, traveling between light and dark world's with a totally tripped out fantasy sci fi plot.

Jumping Flash for Playstation
So simple, so colorful, so fun, so... sort

Shenmue:
Definitely enjoyed experiencing the world through the eyes of an Aspie martial artist seeking vengeance for his father's murder.
I'm being a little sarcastic here for those who have actually played the game.
This one gets honorable mention.

Pokémon White 2. Awesome.
For GBA, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.
For N64, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Goldeneye 007.

Hide.

Everyone else was playing Hide 'n Seek. I was just playing Hide, I got really good at it. Online I like a variety of games and there are some I don't remember the name to them and I miss them. One was a game where you swap different colored dwarfs. Another one was where you shoot at colored orbs on a wheel where the colored bars would vanish. I also liked one of the very first if not the first version of Tetris with the original Russian music, I can't find it anywhere online. Oh and Alchemy the one with symbols you put on a grid and they couldn't touch unlike symbols something like that I forget the deets on how it was played. Great now I have to go try to find these games again.

PC : Dungeon Seige it's old and I played years ago but is amazing and the first game I actually completed.

Xbox360 : Alice madness returns. It has a few bugs but for the most part it's epic. I love the storyline and it has sweet graphics.

Tony Hawk proskaters/undergrounds?
Twisted metal 3 or 4.
Sims 3.

I can't really decide.

*high fives* for mentioning the older Tony Hawk games

I have a favorite but it's not really the best video game. I've enjoyed Halo 3 multiplayer for many years. I do believe it is one of, if not the best FPS as far as multiplayer goes.

'Grim Fandango', a quintessentially perfect entry into the graphic adventure genre.

I miss "Bard's Tale", a RPG from the 1980's and 90's. (I'm sure most here are way too young to remember it.)

Nowdays whatever electronic games I still have are either in my computer drive or on CD ROM, mostly in sports catagories. FWIW, I lost much of my interest in playing video games at home once I reached the age to go to casinos. I prefer to play slots that have themes NOT based on exotic animals.

The most time I've put into any one video game has been into Diablo 2. So I guess I'll just go with that.
