Walkthroughs on YouTube = a life saver

no kidding i'm not sure how i got by in my games before the internet, youtube and gamefaqs. learned a ton of things i can do from youtube alone. that's how i found out how to hotkey in skyrim.

and how to beat all the mushrooms in kh2 final mix, didn't help that the instructions were in japanese, no offense but i can't understand it. i got by in that game by memorizing symbol patterns, at least for synthesizing. and for a little while i could tell what was a shard a gem and a cyrstal, by symbol patterns.

heck after a while i played the game like the american version, or at least when it came to navigating the menus, just memorizing symbol patterns.

Wow, I have the first Kingdom Hearts and the second Kingdom Hearts for PS2 and I can't even beat the both of them, it's those lousy nobodies in the second one, and in the first one, well, I can't figure out the beginning.

I wish I had cheats for Final Fantasy VII because i can't seem to get past after defeating the robots on the elevators, than going through the battle on the road, trying to defeat a bunch of enemy bikers, it's at the very end where you have to defeat this gigantic black robot, I know to defeat it faster you can use lightning magic but, my characters are too low level and half the time I'm out of lightning magic and all I have left is fire and ice or just physical attacks, I always get stuck at that point.

hmm, it's been a while since i went through the beginning of ff7, but that boss never really gives me much trouble, if nothing else cloud's limit breaks should help, i also love leveling so i'm probably a bit overleveled at that part.

yeah the nobodies are a pain, even more so on final mix's critical mode, i know why they call it critical mode, half the time your in critical health. the berserkers are the worst by far. getting through critical mode first time was hell on earth, heck i was getting screwed in the first fight with axel.

in kingdom hearts are you on the island? you have to go around and collect stuff, been a while since i played kingdom hearts at all, ever since 358 i've been disgusted with it.

Yeah, that's my problem, in FF7, I never bothered to take my time leveling up, I more just wanted to rush through it just to get it done and over with, plus, my characters are low level and it takes a long time, for me, to get my character's limit breaks going, so, yeah, I'm screwed in that part.

As for Kingdom Hearts 2, I can beat Axel just fine, I'm more when I'm Sora and I'm in the area where Hercules is and I have to defeat that wimp of a nobody who uses an electric guitar to send out water forms of himself and you have to defeat all those water forms while trying to fight him at the same time, this is way after you just have to defeat just his water forms only, in the beginning, I get stuck in that part sometimes.

In the first Kingdom Hearts, I didn't even make it to the island, I'm still stuck in the beginning where you have to solve this maze-like place or something, I can never figure that part out at all, I'm at a complete and total loss, plus, I can never win against those annoying heartless

odd i felt that the beginning of kingdom hearts was pretty linear. i don't really have problems with it.

yeah on anything but critical i can blaze through kh2 pretty fast, but in critical your health less then proud mode by 50% for a long time my health bar was not much bigger then my finger nail, so first axel can kill you in two hits :) also you take a ton of damage on top of that. i had to adapt a whole new strategy to get through it.

oh demyx, yeah i can sympathize there, he is a bloody pain. but in the first battle you don't have to actually fight him, just get rid of the water clones once they are gone the battle ends. the time you actually have to fight him is much later on i think the 3rd visit to hollow bastion, and that fight is well known on the net for being holy hell frusterating.

xaldin is no picnic either, but if you have reflect it helps a ton, mainly during his desperation attack, hit reflect and you take no damage at all. but i have a feeling your a long way from that point, port royal is annoying because the pirates can only be killed in the moonlight. if nothing else though look up a walk-through of a game your stuck on, they help alot.

not sure what to say about ff7, but it really isn't the kind of game you can rush through. sorry not sure how i can help.

I've always had trouble with Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts 1, and the Final Fantasy game series, the only Final Fantasy games I have; FF7, FF8, FF10, FF10-2, and FF12 for PS1 and PS2, and yet, I can't beat any of them at all, I have no walk throughs for them and I don't even have game guides for them, which sucks because I get stuck in so many tough spots that I automatically give up on playing them after a while of constantly losing. I have the PSP version of Final Fantasy VII, the one where you play Zack as the main character, I can't even beat that game, and again I give up playing.
I have the game guide for Kingdom Hearts 2 but it's hard for me to follow that guide while I'm playing the actual game because sometimes it doesn't help me, so, half the time I keep losing and I'm like, "that's it, I'm done, I give up, goodnight video games." than I stop playing, so, yeah, I'm not much of an obsessive hard-core gamer, not like I used to be.

i wasn't talking about official guides, people on youtube post walkthroughs all the time.

but eh your choice.

when a game beats me down it keeps me coming back to get revenge. but i guess i'm bit hardcore. right now i have need for speed the run, it's decent but i'd be happier steering with the directional buttons, but i'm slowly getting it. though i have a lot of colorful words to say playing it. :)

Yeah, I know you meant walk throughs on YouTube, I was more talking about game guides because sometimes they can be used as walk throughs, just on paper with writing and pictures instead of on video.

I actually saw a video walk through from Tenchu: Stealth Assassins that this guy had uploaded, he uploaded a bunch of videos for like all the walk throughs for all the levels but I was watching the walk through for a level I got stuck on, of course, at the last minute, the guy who was playing the game, totally screwed up by accidentally having his character Rikimaru roll backwards into a pitfall trap that killed him, lol, wow, that did not help one bit because this guy was all like, "NOOOO!! ! f**k ME!! ! Awwww!! !" than he started laughing like crazy, so I'm all like, "yeah, that's one mistake you don't want to make while trying to get through that particular level." it's still funny though.

lol yeah some of them are funny, i like watch speed run videos, people do some crazy stunts in them. but your not the only one that gets stuck on games, on the last level in nfs the run, got almost to the end and used my last reset, and it was game over, then i took my controller and smashed it off the ground, i've actually broken a few controllers already.

when i get to that point i turn the system off and take a break, when i am ready i'll go back and beat it.

i don't keep going on a game when i'm pissed to all hell and back, i whip the controller and call it a day. throwing controllers is good stress relief i say.

and it isn't just guys that throw controllers, i think that is how i broke my first ps2 controller actually.

but i do better if i have a visual walkthrough to each his own though.

Video walkthroughs don't do anything for me... Even though Tobuscus is funny, I have the urge to either punch him in the face when he muggles something.

Like Jetfox said, to each their own, sometimes video walk throughs help people, sometimes they don't, sometimes people prefer guide books, sometimes they don't, to be honest, I'd prefer just cheats over video walk throughs and video game guide books just because getting cheat codes are better for me to beat games without problems, lol

yep, if we all did the same thing i'd be pretty boring.

but i have gone to both methods for help.

anyway i wish you luck gaming, don't fling controllers like me unless it helps. ps3 ones are 50$ ^^; i'm happy i didn't break it this time.

One thing I'm pleased about, I'm getting a lot better positive comments on here than I am in the forum about Jobs and Work experiences,I like talking more positive about video games here in this forum because get a lot of positive comments back and a lot of funny ones too, but, anyway, I'll also see about finding cheats for my games that actually work, plus, I'll see about getting back into playing some of my games again.
