Dunno, there are actually lot of gamer girls out there in the aspie world and they don't get called "hot geek chicks" for nothing I think. (My apologies to those who are offended by the word "geek")

I love video games! I will play anything except sports (I don't mind lighthearted stuff like wii sports, kinect sports etc). My big love is anything violent and / or gory, gears of war, saints row, GTA, left 4 dead(I will never tire of that game, always enjoy it every single time), resident evil, bioshock, halo, resistance. I tried call of duty once but it was just after playing gears of war 2 and...it just wasn't the same! I just couldn't get into it so played GOW again

I also enjoy games like mario, sonic, little big planet but they just don't have the same level of excitement, satisfaction and outright awesomeness of what I call real games like GOW, halo etc

From what I can see, the only thing typical girls are interested in are talking on the phone, obsessing over a boy, and putting on makeup. Bleh, girls are so boring.

I would pay to play that.

Most female gamers are very casual ones, so in a sense they're not true gamers deserving of the label. They just play video games occasionally. There's exceptions of course though.

Girl Gamers aren't that rare, they have been advertised before in gaming magazines and gaming programmes advertised on Freesat and Sky with the channels Showcase and Information TV.
YouTube can have a few Girl Gamers on there.

I'm a girl gamer, and have been since the day I was co-ordinated enough to use a keyboard and/or Atari joystick.

Right now I'm playing Skyrim, but I also love the Fable series, the Jak series, and the Final Fantasy series. Major Pokenerd, too. There's heaps more, but I can't be bothered remembering.

Most girls are boring and only care about attracting a mate, getting knocked up, letting themselves go and driving the entire family into bankruptcy in an attempt to be a shadow of their former glory.

I'm a girl and I've been a gamer since age 3. My dad bought me a NES in which I played nonstop, I'm playing a game right now actually lol. Just paused to come snoop a bit. I also hate multiplayer games, single player will always reign supreme! We are indeed a rare species lol.

They may have female protagonists but they're not catered for women. The only game I've really seen specifically designed for girls was My World, My Way for the DS. :/

And maybe Nintendogs.

As a female gamer I kinda feel like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil appeal to the female gamer. In all honesty the few of us that there are do have similar tastes to men in a strong female character. My fav movies are the Resident Evil ones even though I think guys like those more too. If you get into the otaku scene it's also common for the interest to be split rather than catered to either gender individually.

Just go to an anime con or game con. There are a lot of girls there willing to beat you.

I never really understood the appeal of those places.

If there were more potential female games, companies would produce more girl-friendly games.

The industry was simply shaped by the majority of the clients.

Supply and demand.

Right, I'm off to have sex with a hooker and beat her to a bloody pulp and then go randomly blowing up cars and shooting cops.

I am a girl gamer and i must say that it IS hard to find girls who play games. I do have a friend who has a great taste in games and its like a dream come true when i talk with her and she can understand what i'm saying. Most of the gamers i know are males. I guess other women are interested in other things. I can't say that i choose games only if the appeal to my woman nature. I usually choose rpg games where you can actually built a character as you play.

A good portion of the players who've been in my Dota clan are girls. While I admit there was the immediate interest due to it being a predominantly male and quite hostile environment, they were players like everyone else. And they were treated like everyone else. :P
Perhaps it's because I don't strive to follow any standards myself, but like beating someone with unconventional strategy was satisfying, so was beating them and letting them know girls took part in their demise. Mmm, now I yearn for that old hell to return.

That's the clientele for ya. They can't get away with it in real life so they do it in a game. I don't think people realize that sin always sells especially when people feel there are no consequences.
