Yeah I kind of spent that much you have on upgrade parts, but didn`t get any performance boost. I figure I should have replaced the motherboard as well, since it runs on the old socket, not the i sockets, instead of just getting a quad cpu. Some games like sc2 and swtor, lag a lot when there is a lot of action. Guild wars 2 runs well since it is optimized good. Seems you have to upgrade your computer every 2 years now to runes smoothly.

So i tried Guild Wars 2 and didn't quite like it. I guess i'm sick of MMO's. GW 2 had too many special effects, over exaggerated enviroments, weird typical fantasy characters and bland quests. Sure you can complete them in multiple ways but it's still god awful boring.. watering plants? killing worms that couldn't kill you even if you went AFK for half a hour? And i don't quite like the fact that every person is super "beautiful". And the character creation screen is disappointing although it's a lot better that most MMO's

You can make some truly hideous, nightmare asura and the charr are kinda ugly? I understand your complaint, I guess its just fresh to me after being an ugly she-orc in WoW for 7 years. I really felt like you how did, underwhelmed, until about level 20 or so when stuff started to click and I was really enjoying playing. What level are you?

My biggest gripe anymore is that stuff gets overwhelming with spell effects going off everywhere in certain events and dungeons are a mess. Seems like I enjoy the game a lot, feel as if I'm getting my money's worth and then I hop along for a dungeon run and get disgusted at how boring and bland it feels. WoW really spoiled me in that respect, the dungeons in this game feel really messy. I have a better idea of what's going on now but it doesn't feel as fluid as say, a dungeon in WoW.

Loving the questing and exploration though. Elementalist is tons of fun, love laying down the big combo fields.

I bought Guild Wars 2 but have put hardly any time in to it. Been playing Borderlands 2 instead, but Guild Wars, I have been looking at the lists of skills and haven't decided on a class that sounds fun to me.

As far as the weapon-based skills goes, is it viable to find one you like and stick to that weapon type the whole game, or do you eventually have to switch it up from time to time just because you can't find a replacement that does as much damage, or other reasons?

Im thinking of making a Guardian, and primarily using a Staff. I just like the concept, almost like Clerics in D&D but not strictly a healer.
