For a 91 baby, I love my NES titles, maybe Famicom if things go well and my Game Boy (WHIPPERSNAPPERS!! !).

For me, retro gaming just completely dominates current-gen gaming for the most part. I currently collect games for the Super NES and the last-gen systems (Dreamcast, PS2, GBA, GC). I'm not sure if the last-gen stuff is really that old enough, but oh well. I might get either a Sega Genesis or a Saturn once I have more money.

If anyone's interested, I'll post screenshots of my retro game collection.

My wish is to find a good Famicom...... must be tough to do so around these shores.

It's very biased to the UK customers though.

There's a Japanese TV series called Game Center CX, in which a man tries to play retro games and beat them all. Very funny.

Grew up with NES, the first game I played was Super Mario, and I remember thinking it was the greatest thing ever.
Then the SNES came out, and I was in awe.
I have every single Nintendo system (both console and hand held) released in the US.
And SEGA consoles, along with the SEGA game gear.
Heck I even have a virtual boy and it is hooked up on my desk. I enjoy playing it sometimes, despite it being a "failure" of a system.
Games were my escape as a kid.
I enjoy playing retro games today as it brings back nostalgia and good memories to when things were simpler and I didn't have to worry about bills or
student loans or finding an apartment or career or any of those things.
Heck I just purchased Kirbys 20th anniversary Edition disc.
Great memories. Great games.
I'll never be "too old" to enjoy these classics.
(I'm 25. Don't care if people judge me for this.)

Hey, my NES games work again! Just need a little trick to get them to work; and they're just like I remember 'em! Although I do much better at them now as an adult than I did as a child........

I love my SNES and my Gameboy! I have lots of games for both and still play them. I'm going to have to break down and buy a new NES/SNES combo console since mine is starting to have issues. I also love older computer games, including Doom. Doom was sooooo much better on the computer than on SNES. I had the shareware too and loved that I could still use the cheats, but I used to get stuck in the wall sometimes when I used the "walk through walls" cheat. I miss Doom!

There was a retro-gaming con in Seattle this June; I did not go to it, but if it is held next year, then I may consider going......

I have a NES in my bedroom. My favourite game for the system is Super Mario Bros. 3.

My favourite retro games are the point-and-click games of MS-DOS. A door opening, a landslide, the raindrops and a cow chewing shared the same sound effect.

I play retro games and retro franchises pretty much exclusively. Theres a lot about the current-gen (and to a lesser extent the previous gen) that I find really off-putting.

I love retro gaming, I grew up with the C64 and although looking back some of the games are pretty s**t, they still have a certain charm about them, something that is missing in a lot of modern titles. I've recently been playing some old PS1 games as well, which more than stand up to current games in terms of playability and sheer fun. As a games developer I'm into the idea of taking retro elements and applying them with modern graphics capabilities, especially in terms of not trying to make everything "realistic" but deliberately making it blocky / low poly. For me, somehow, that's how video games should be.

There's also this thing called the Atari Flashback 3, and I have yet to get it. I take it it's pretty fun, though!

I grew up with MS-DOS games, notably the classic Sierra and LucasArts adventure games (King's Quest series, Police Quest series, Monkey Island series, Sam & Max Hit the Road), Apogee platform games (Commander Keen, Crystal Caves, Duke Nukem, etc.)

Because we had PC games, my brothers and I did not have any consoles (a Game Boy was the exception). Today I have a few "retro" systems, including a working 2600, and a borrowed Genesis.

I wish there was some Arcades that provided OutRun and After Burner right about now.

I am dying to play the originals.
