To a degree. It's apparently more like an online RPG like WoW, or FFXI.

Does the latest reincarnation of FF have real time combat?

Hello! I love RPGs!! FFXII is very good, I haven't finished it yet.. FFXI is is just very slow, I don't recommend it.

The only FF I've finished is I, IX, X, and X-2. I've played pretty much all of them except VIII. But yeah, I play a lot of other RPGs besides FF such as Rogue Galaxy, Disgaea, Link (Haven't played any of the new ones though), Dark Cloud, Xenosaga, lots more, etc.

I haven't played KH yet, is the first one is as good as KHII (haven't played this either)?

I have NEVER passed a FF game, as I have no patience for them. FFX-2 is the ONLY FF game I can actually stand playing. The other FF games I've played annoyed me, but I do want FFXII when mum can afford it for me. Tactics Advance got annoying(I had a rom of it) so I quit playing it. FFIV pisses me off big time. FF1 is impossible. FFX was good, but Tidus is such a whiner! FFV or FFII, sucked. FF is the only RPGs I like, as the Zelda games aren't RPGs, so I can't count them. Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga was annoying, and I prefer Super Mario RPG(also a rom.) KH1 was okay, but I started to hate it after awhile. KH2 was good, but I don't own it due to the price. :cry:

I first played FF when I lived with my ex...he had ffviii and I loved it. I found the characters graphically realistic and just loved the sort of peacefulness of the gardens. I have now acquired vi, vii, viii, ix, x-2 and xii but am having trouble deciding which to play, lol. I tried vi and vii, but vi, although it seems to have some nice characters...I found it to be so graphically primitive... I do not know why, but I seem to have a need for realistic graphics...and beautful surroundings in a game...SO...can anyone recommend me some rpgs which might fit my criteria? I also like magic, sorcery and the like, but am not majorly huge on loads of battles.

i realize i probably sound like a broken record...but earthbound is SOOOOO where it's at for rpg's.....but not in an epic kind of way....more in an original presentation sort of way.

I've seen it. I'm not sure I'd like it, but it seems to be popular. Problem is, one, I never got a SNES, and two, we never got Earthbound out in Australia.

I heard a fairly disturbing thing about Earthbound, involving the dialogue during the final Giygas fight....

BTW, I have now Final Fantasy XII. When I started it up, I was quietely impressed (in a "whoa" kind of way rather than "Yahoo!", but that orchestrated version of the prologue, aahhh). I am up to where Vaan, Balthier, Fran and Basch have to fly to Bhujerba to rescue Penelo, and have a nice chat to Marquis Ondore...

I just finished FF X. Great story. Managed to get 5 of the 7 celestial weapons. Dodged 397 lightning bolts in a row.

Working on X-2 next.

I usually fall asleep after 30 or so :cry: . That, and Kimahri's butterfly dodging minigame are the only two I simply can't do. I've completed everything else to do in FFX though.

I need to go back at some point and finish Kimahri's and Tidus's. And get the 10 captures of every monster in the game done. Right now I'm just a little over-exposed on the game and need a break from it - hence the move to X-2

I've played and beaten every single FF released in the US except for FFIII and FFX-2. Well, ok, I haven't beaten FFXII yet, but I'm pretty close. I'm even in the process of trying to create my own FF. That should tell you enough right there .
