It seems the latest version of fsrecroder does not play well with steam, but version 1.331 does work, so I have installed that.

Your method works beautifully.

I had to run the legacy simconnect installers in the FSX steam SDK folder and then fsrecorder 1.331 performed perfectly.

I just did some touch and goes on 0B8 with a few aircraft parked on the ramp. Very good.
