In Zelda: OoT, if you blow up a gossip stone it flashes red and blue then blasts into space.

There´s a character named Cid in every Final Fantasy except 1, where it´s only mentioned by a villager in the remakes. (Thanks to Quartermass for correcting this)

In FFXII, if you level up your characters enough, you can take on most bosses.

http://www.final-fantasy-12.com

That is a good site for FFXII...

In Final Fantasy 9, there´s a statue that has a hole where a medal can be inserted. Howerer, you can´t get a medallion in the whole game.

Actually, that's BS. In the remakes of the original, Cid is mentioned by the Lufenia people as being the creator of the airship. And in XII, one of the villains is Dr Cid, aka Doctor Cidolfas Demen Bunansa. There is also a character called "Al-Cid Margrace", but it's Doctor Cid who carries on the traditional sort of Cid.

Here's an article:

Edit: OK, sorry, just a wee bit pedantic.

It's a reference to Resident Evil 2.

I know, just thought that it´d sound more interesting if I didn´t mention that.

I just defeated Mateus in FFXII, and now there's another boss to fight who I won't name, but who is much easier to beat. The boss before Mateus was so easy.

The only problem with the boss I'm facing now, is that I can take away 60% of his HP, but by then, my characters are low on HP, and they keep dying if I can't get them to use cure fast enough. Balthier has hasten, and I might try that.

Mateus in FFXII is the Ice Esper.

I think there needs to be a thread specifically for facts about the FF games, because they're half the ones posted! XD

I made a FF topic, but it's dead now.

The first easter egg in a game ever was in Adventure, if you went through a certain wall you´d get to a room where the words: Created by Warren Robinett are written.

In Silent Hill, many of the street names are named after horror and sci-fi authors.

In Silent Hill 3, the grunt of a Closer monster is the modulated grunt of a rhinoceros.

In Silent Hill 2, a corpse found in a chair in front of a TV is actually based on the character model of the main character, James Sunderland.

The voice/motion actor of James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2), Guy Cihi, isn't a professional actor. He was a businessman who frequently worked in Japan. It was while he was establishing a new business that his daughter asked him to take her to audition for a part in a game. A director then asked him to audition for the part of James in Silent Hill 2, and he won the role. The info on this can be found here, along with links to the real face of James Sunderland....

In Super Mario World, you can access again to a destroyed castle, by pressing L and R at the same time you choose the castle.

In Resi4, you can buy weapons from a weird merchant who says "Hello, stranger" In a cool sort of way. You can also kill them, and they won't come back.
