To play older video games on newer computers, you can now use a virtual system software. On Linux I recommend DosEMU. You have to be sure to edit the processor profile in the config file to run at a slower MIPS rating, if you are running old games that rely on processor speed.

I know of quite a few games that get a divide by zero error when you launch them on too fast a computer. (This is from the routine that calculates the computer's speed)

Sonic the Hedgehog 1 when I was 7 years old. The second game was The Little Mermiad. Then I remember playing Sonic 2 and Mickey Mouse: Castle of Illusion. I have beaten all the games.

Sonic 1 when I was 13.
The Little Mermiad when I was 7
Sonic 2 when I was 11
Castle of Illusion when I was 16 or 17.

Some good memories here in this thread.

Arcade - Space Invaders
Console - Adventure/Combat/Missile Command? - Atari 2600
Computer - Lunar Lander - Commodore Vic-20

Honorable mentions...

Wizardry - Apple IIe? (my cousin's)
Donkey Kong Jr. - Atari 5200
Castle Wolfenstein - C64/AppleIIe? (forgot that one)
Ultima III/IV - C64 (best RPG games ever)
AD&D Gold Box series - C64 (ok, maybe it's a tie)
Racing Destruction Set - C64
Marble Madness - Amiga 1000

My friend had Intellivision and Colecovision, but damned if I can remember the name of any games.

Games have lost their appeal to me. Too expensive on the PC to keep up with hardware. I have a PS2, but only play a few select games on it and always buy used/bargain bin.

A seriously old DOS game called "Sneakers." I don't remember much, only that its ultra-simplistic graphics comprised of a black background and green sprites. (All the same color of green.)

I think the first video game I played was Pacman on some Atari system.
But it wasn't until Mario/Duck Hunt that I became interested in video games.
I think my first computer game was King's Quest 1.

I had a bunch of games for the SNES, and I was around three years old at the time, so I don't know exactly which game was my first. I'm guessing it was Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

I love videogames since I was 3 years old, but I didn't have one.

Time for going to my first school was near, and my mom tried to convince me school was a nice place, but I didn't want to go. So, my parents promised my they would buy me a Nintendo if I accepted going to the school.

I really wanted a Nintendo, so I decided going to school. School was strange and hard, I was smart, but my teacher pressured me a lot because she thought I was rebel (no one didn't know I had AS). But after two months, I was 4 years, and my parents bought me my Nintendo :D, with a Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt cartridge. I was so happy!
