I like Madden NFL for one reason: It causes the guy they put on the cover of the box to suck for one season...

True, but everyone (except for me) plays Halo. :P Anyway, I didn't mean that there was anything "wrong" with girls playing shooters (I wish more of them did!)... just that "in general" it doesn't seem to hold much interest for most girls.

Kingdom Hearts

I hate disney. Also the aesthetics didn't mix at all, I mean anime style characters and donald duck , I hate donald duck, mickey, goofy and just about every ugly anthropomorphic American cartoon character.

not long ago, gaming was always designed for males,so if there's anything thats supposed to be especially for males in games,it wont stop females from playing it,is something female gamers would be used to.

True, but even nowadays, there are hardly any female gamers who are into FPS games... But I guess that's understandable.

I wish I could play FPS. Blowing stuff up seems good for anger management. However, I have a really big issue with people watching me play, not to mention I can't keep in interested in a game without an interesting plot.

For games that shouldn't have been successful:

- Sport Games
- Training Games
- The new Dogz/Babyz/Howrsez or whatever its called.

I agree. When I play Halo online there's about 1 girl to every 1,000 guys.

I don't hate the Kingdom Hearts games, but I did wish I could blow up Donald, Mickey and Goofy. I also did not like the way Demyx was treated.

Any Nickelodeon game or Disney game. What ret*d decided making a game out of That's So Raven was so great? What's worse is that those kids on the Disney Channel make the games sound so great, and they suck in the helpless kids and their banks, I mean parents!

I also don't get Madden. Update the roster, make it look a little prettier, big whoop.

Nickelodeon games can be good eg. Spongebob games and Avatar.

Shouldn't Doom 3 be renamed as Doom 4?

Doom
Doom II
The Final Doom
Doom 3 ^^ What the hell? Where does this one fit?

Quake 3 Arena should have dropped the "3" out of it. Would be nicer if it had a storyline. I don't mind games with a tournament style game play like this, but sometimes I like to go through levels in single player. A better solution is to have both, such as Counter Strike: Condition Zero

I can not stand games like Command and Conquer (all) The Sims (any) and any other simulation games, apart from racing games. Sports games suck.

So, maybe my answer is Diablo ...

(building, ready, unit ready, sir) hearing those hour after hour is tedious and annoying. Wouldn't be so bad if there were a few variants of the same acknowledgement

No, it should've just been called "Doom." It was a remake, not a sequel.

I agree. I wish there had been a Quake 3 with a story... at least more story than it had... possibly one which tied the first two Quakes together. I know that they weren't meant to be related, but it would've been interesting if "Quake the entity" was somehow involved with the Strogg war. Or, they could've just come up with a completely new storyline altogether... that would've been better than what they had.

Halo...I've plaid Halo before, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't so great...very overrated in my opinion

Call of Duty -they wouldn't even let you play as the Axis...I usually play as the Germans or Japanese in WWII shooters and strategies if the Republic of China is not an option.

C&C Generals- I liked it at first, but then after playing it a few times as the US, China and GLA...I started to see that game as a regular-joe RTS with the C&C name slapped on to it.

C&C 3: Tiberium Wars- It was really just another regular Joe RTS game with GDI, Brotherhood of Nod and tiberium crystals put into it.

Civilization Revolutions- Worst Civilization game ever! Too simplistic, I hate it when they always make China's leaderhead Mao Zedong (which is evident in all civ games)...why not Sun Yat-sen, Zhou Enlai, Emperor Taizong or Liu Bei of Shu the leaders of China?

I really liked Devil May Cry 4 but it got boring the third time beating it. There are 3 difficulty levels and it's just not worth the time. It was fun the first two times though.

If you want to play a good game using C&C mechanics, I recommend Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2. I found that way more entertaining than the other C&C sequels and knockoffs... mainly because running around with Gandalf shooting fireballs was epic...

I've noticed a lot of people don't like First Person Shooters. That's probably because the FPSs are a matter of taste, like action movies. Even which ones you like and don't like are a matter of taste.

As of the comments on The Sims, they too are taste. I like the games myself, but others don't.

In my opinion Grand Theft Auto 1, 2 and 3 lacked the story to justify the violence. The storylines didn't reach the real "hollywood grade" storylines that set up a air of an alternative world that was naturally more violent than our own. The fact that the character, unlike ones in other games, shows no pleasure in killing, or hurting people, obviously makes the point that for him the world is "kill or be killed."
