Sephiroth easily tops Kefka because he wanted destroyed the Planet. His Masamune is no laughing matter either. Plus he massacred Cloud and Tifa's hometown. He try it again in Advent Children as well.

Kefka took a sword to the gut from the most powerful swordswoman on the heros' side and threw a temper tantrum. Masamune isn't going to do jack to him other than make him mad.

A town you say? As was mentioned, Kefka took down pretty much the entire world. And it wasn't "for mother" like Seph, it was because Kefka wanted to make a point about mortality (basically, "life is meaningless so you'd better die now").

The thing is that I never play 6 but I did research on top video game villains and funny thing that is Kefka and Sephiroth are usually on top but rarely with each other based on what I found. Anyway I'll respect your opinion because its up to the players who play the games.

Seymour in FFX was a nut job himself. Wanted to become Sin and basically kill everyone as Sin. Man Final Fantasy has some crazy villains.

I don't think he was that great of a villain... he's got some insecurity issues going on, especially as a child...

Plus, a villain should never have to use that much hairgel...

True True. Still to heal Spira aka destroy it as Sin sounds intense. Other Villains could easily beat him in that department alone.

No I mean FFVI or 3. Use roman numerals for the Japanese and arabic numberals for the American. Just as the one with Cecil/Kane is called IV or 2. It wasn't until VII that the Japanese and American numbering started lining up.

I have played FFVII, and I still think Sephiroth is one of the pansiest villains besides Seymour. These new my-mother-didn't-hug-me-enough villains that Squeenix keeps popping out just makes me wish for the good 'ol days of Kefka, Zeromus and Garland.

If you step back for a moment, you realize that all the FF villains from Sephiroth on up are basically the same person...

That's why I've turned to American-made RPG's in this day and age... Bioware and Bethesda are two companies that will kick Squeenix's sorry ass any day of the week...

Compare Sephiroth to this guy:

Okay, Darth Malak may just be a Vader knockoff...

How about this guy from another Bioware game:

I think that Saren from Mass Effect is basically what Seymour from FF10 should have been had the latter actually been done well...

Except now that all the games have come out in English under their original numbering system, it doesn't make any sense to do that any more.

Sephiroth has infinitely more style than Kefka; Kefka has infinitely more evil than wussy-boy Sephiroth.

As far as badassery goes: Sephiroth destroyed a town while Kefka destroyed a planet, but Rydia damn near killed two of the most badass knights the biggest military city had to offer. Because she was sad. When she was a small child.

So yeah, Sephiroth was cool and Kefka was super scary, but Rydia could have killed them both while taking a nap.

Best villain: Kefka by far!
Best character: Rydia by far! (Can you tell she was my first video game crush?)

Ok... This is confusing because both of them pretty much wanted destroyed mankind and become God.

Still I think Cloud is a pretty good hero along with the others heroes from the other Final Fantasys.

Yes, but only Kefka pretty much succeeded. Sephiroth was stopped before he got that far. Granted, Kefka only almost destroyed mankind, but he did become a god and came much closer to destroying mankind than Sephiroth did.

Technically, Sephiroth did the same as well since became God (Two bosses battles before the final showdown with Cloud). The two of them are pretty much almost equals at times (depends on your opinion of course).

No, sorry, Kefka killed way more people than Sephiroth did. Even if you count what happened with Sephiroth as becoming a god, Kefka still wins in the evilness department.

Ok... I get your point there but why isn't Kefka in KH instead of Sephiroth. Its really all about people's opinions about the villains in the end.
