Mewtwo is ok, but realy to like a lot of the legendaeries seemed a bit superfishal to me.

hmm possibly, if only because they start of at ridiculously high levels and require very little actual training, I still think mewto is awesome though. If only because of the first pokemon movie.

They haven't added any new types since the second gen, when they added Dark and Steel.

Most of the time the legendaries pretty much sucked, and people only went after them because they were legendaries. Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos had nothing on a lot of the more common Pokémon in battle. The legendary dogs were better, but Entei was the only one I thought was really good of those three. Lugia was good. But Mewtwo was just overkill. No style whatsoever in Psychic'ing someone to death with a level 100 Mewtwo. Or in sitting there with Snorlax and infinite Rest and doing a war of attrition.

I might be thinking of the cards. A friend of mine has shown me some cards where they've just decided to move Pokémon into a different type for no apparent reason.

Gyrados. Or Mewto. Both are badasses :P.

Mewtwo was overpowered and cheap. Every kid had a level 100 Mewtwo, along with an over-HP'ed Snorlax. Gyrados was classy, but the effort of leveling him up from Magicarp was brutal. Reminded me of the time I worked so hard to level up my Abra until I would finally get a useful Kadabra.

2 words: exp all...

I will agree on Mewtwo though... I kept a Jolteon around with Pin missile just to piss off the mewtwofags...

On the other hand, Mewtwo is awesome in SSBM...

It kind of anoyed me that they didn't put Mewtwo into Brawl, instead they put in Lucario, who apparently is very popular with the newbies to pokemon many who think Lucario is the best. Here is a comic that I think might be good for this discusion.

I don't remember exp all in Blue... wasn't that a later thing? I know there was some exp sharing thing that I attached to Magicarp later in the game, but there were the days of bait and switch magicarp with a real Pokémon... I did that in some of the high-level dungeons once and at one point made Magicarp go up like 3 levels from one "battle" that it didn't actually participate in.

I'm more of a Link guy in SSBM, though he's not nearly as good in Brawl. Mewtwo always annoyed me, he was one of those characters that I wasn't good at countering and I wasn't good at being. Kind of like Mr. Game and Watch.

So I'm the old silver GameBoy?

I need a lawn, so I can yell at the young-ins to get off it.

ohhhh, the Holon series. Yeah, that was just for those sets, and it doesn't affect anything else. It was basically their gimmick in the card game until Diamond/Pearl came out. Now everything's back to normal.

I thought you could get exp all in the first generation games... iirc somewhere around Celadon City...

The three legendary birds sucked because they were all half-flying. An Onix with rock slide would easily destroy all three of them... and really only Articuno could fight back...

G&W was a monster, and still is... he makes annoying sounds, and he doesn't integrate into the rest of the SSB world. The jerkiness of his motion annoys me.
