The original Baldur's Gate.

I'm playing as the neutral good, unspecialized mage Altaveron.

Damn my inability to make decisions :(

I got a bunch of games for Christmas and they all look fun and I can't decide what to play. So instead of playing one of them I'm staring at them all not able to decide which one to play :?

My choices of the new are
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Collector's Edition
Front Mission Evolved
Time Crisis Razing Storm
Heavy Rain
Gran Turismo 5

I've been playing Time Crisis the most, but I wana try some of the other ones now :?

I'll just say I'm playing all of them for now :)

I'm glad I never got my hopes up....then again I completely forget playing and beating the first 2 Golden Suns. Nintendo, that's what you get for making me wait so long

I need to get my hands on that game, I was too young to appreciate it upon release :(

I've just had a disappointing experience. After taking appropriately heavy precautions I downloaded a torrent file containing dozens of old Archimedes games, including some (Carnage Inc., Pandora's Box, Guile, Conqueror) I've been looking for for a long time - Guile I only ever had the demo of, Carnage Inc. was great, Pandora's Box I never got very far, Conqueror I'm nostalgic for - and after considerably more faffing around I got my emulator to recognise the images... only none of the damn things work properly, presumably 'cause they don't like StrongARMs. Damnit. Only Conqueror worked, and the little tanks zipped around the screen at the kind of speed you'd expect from something supposed to run at 20MHz finding itself on a 200MHz processor. :) Anyway, am kinda miffed. Of the ones I tried the only one that worked was Spheres of Chaos which you can get for other OSes anyway. Drat. And bother.

Anyway, I did play the proper version of Starfighter 3000 for a bit while I was using the emulator. There are about 100 levels to it, and progress through them is kinda nonlinear. Your progress is recorded by a level code something like ("AFQCHQJRH2C") and I'm trying to break it. It's complicated. The levels are split into three groups, each of which is arranged in a pyramid and has random missions highlighted as special - which ones aren't tracked, but the number of special missions is, somehow, and I think what would be a straightforward code for position is being hashed with the remaining number of special missions somehow. Fun. :D

Also playing Dawn of War II ("The Kaurava campaign was a mistake. Let us never speak of it again!" ) just finished the original campaign, gonna try the expansion now. I prefer it to the original DoW because it's closer to the "fluff" descriptions of the space marines - a handful of the Emperor's finest ploughing through endless waves of xeno scum, instead of going toe-to-toe with roughly equivalent strength opponents like they do in DoW or the tabletop game.

Got The Witcher downloading (damn Steam holiday sales) which looks interesting.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. A bit of a downer, I liked Call of Pripyat way more.

Okay, finished DoW II: Chaos Rising, I liked it. Dreadnought doing an assault cannon sweep across a horde of charging cultists is spectacular. :) Kept everyone free of corruption, I'm guessing the story plays out differently if you don't!

Gave The Witcher a brief try but am not too keen. 'specially on seeing the token female character's a Gainax bouncer, doesn't bode well.

Also trying Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943 but I keep being pulverised. Don't like the interface and it doesn't feel realistic. Waiting for the new Combat Mission.

I don't know how The Witcher gets the reviews it does. Some people herald it as the most epic of old school styled RPGs then I see some people saying the gameplay is a joke and the card things are even worse. How can reviews be so split?

I have been playing Darksiders for the PC. I recently bought it from the holiday steam sale. The game has tons of backtracking. I hate backtracking because it relies on memory. It also has a lot of puzzles but because I have limited brainpower it is difficult at times. I do like the action though. I love how you get more health after defeating each boss. There is no regenerating health, its similar to God of War 3 for the health. I bought several games from this sale but I truly believe that last year's holiday sales were much better (so far). I am extremely disappointed in Lost Planet 2. It is not meant for singleplayer but I am mainly a singleplayer gamer. In the good old days I used to be pretty good at multiplayer but now I suck horribly. I also bought indie games.
