Been playing the Splatoon 2 DLC, known as Octo Expansion. I was kind of into it based on the trailer ages back, I love the general aesthetics of the game, and the chance to play an Octoling sounds fun, but I generally don't play much multiplayer, so I had not really gone back much to play Splatoon 2 since completing the story campaign. Enjoying Inkling in Smash Bros, I thought I might play the DLC, and I did not know what I was in for.
The main game story was not that hard, but Octo Expansion feels like a huge jump. I kind of scoffed at the idea these would be called tests, but pretty much every mission, which there appears to be 80 of, tests thing a unique and creative way, that certainly does test the player. Did not take long for me to mentally compare it to Dark Souls, and found other others have too. Regardless, it makes every success feel like a victory, and earned.
