It's "L" from the Deathnote books, one of the most interesting manga series you'll ever see. I believe the choice of Avatar lies in the fact that L is almost certainly an Aspie himself... Arguably, many of the characters are, but he is probably the most developed character in that vein. I'm sure there's no need to be mean about other people's Avatars, anyway... it's just self expression.
