They don't price drop their games. I was reading some interview where Iwata (I think?) said he doesn't think it's fair for people to get games for cheaper later when people who bought the game on launch had to pay full price.

*shrugs*

I'll admit that what Iwata-san said there is quite true, but you have to admit that the price drop on a game makes it easier to afford it, and of course the stores drop prices on older or crappy titles so that they can get rid of them easily. They'll even offer "more for less" transactions on the especially crap ones! ^_^

You shape landscapes to increase your population, which earns you points you can spend to cause natural disasters on opponents' land. You want to try to destroy them completely to win the level. It sounds kind of boring, but for some reason it's not.

Play the SNES version if you can. The controls are a lot better than on the PC (IMO), the graphics are a little bit better, and I think it has the expansion pack built in (I'm not certain though).

Or I guess the new DS port is okay, once you finally get past all the mandatory tutorial missions.

The first ever video game I can remember was Super Mario World for Super Nintendo. My cousin and I would have so much fun playing it. That game will always hold a special place in my heart. :)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2, because that was the game that came along with the Sega Genesis. Now mind you, that was the first game I had, not the first one I've played. My friends down the street had the NES & Super NES, so I just went over & played their games. They didn't have Sega Genesis, so that's what I asked for on Christmas.

I cannot recall the name of the game, but it was some game for Atari that involved rescuing terribly people (by people, I mean blocks...it was Atari) from a burning building.

Alien Trilogy for the Sega Saturn. I was really, REALLY young then. The first game I played with a level of maturity to understand it (5 years old, amusingly) was Dino Crisis. The same game the symbol from my avatar comes from.

Trilogy's still awesome though.

Might be Towering Inferno:

Though I don't remember rescuing people, I think you just put fires out.
