The Nintendo 3DS has backwards compatibility for Nintendo DS games. Also, the Nintendo 3DS can take 3D pictures and record 3D videos with it's two cameras (three if you include the camera facing you, like in the DSi).

It also is a completely new gaming system that plays new games (That you can't play on your normal DS) and is even more powerful than the Wii.

Some people say that its processing power rivels that of even the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360!

I say it again; Won't it make rise too much the development price, and thus giving us only some generic FPS from develpper who don't want to take risks with that?

Currently, game prices are estimated to only go up about $5 at most.

One thing I'm worried about is that on the DS, you can prettymuch tell right away which games are terrible because they don't even bother taking the time to make the graphics look decent (especially when it comes to ports).

With the 3DS's enhanced graphics, I'm wondering if third party games actually will be better, or if they'll just be harder to distinguish.

I might get it for some of the epic games it will have, but the fact that there's NO GBA SLOT as well as the fact that I think 3D sucks means I probably won't.

You do know that the 3D is optional right? And why do you need the GBA slot? It's kind of like asking for a SNES Slot on the Gamecube.

But how will the games look without it on? And the GBA was a way better system than the DS, and it's not quite cost-effective as of right now for me to have a GBA and a DS; that's why I never wanted a DSi.

And the SNES was a better system then the Gamecube it doesn't mean it has to be backwards compatible. And I am sure the games would look better without it on as the 3D would be cool but the graphics wouldn't look as nice (Like with 3D movies).

That doesn't mean I wouldn't absolutely love it if it was... ;)

They'll look two-dimensional?

There's suspicion that disabling the 3D effect might enable anti-aliasing, but there's no evidence yet whether it will happen automatically or if the game will need to be programmed that way.

there has been some speculation that games not enabled for "3-D, can use the spare GPU cycles for better effects processing and such. So yeh, AA can in fact be a possibility.

Well basically they already know that the 3DS can do anti-aliasing, but is unable to do so in 3D mode.

I'm sure the 3DS will have enough spare processing power to do anti-aliasing even in 3D mode. On a related topic, some people who've seen the 3DS in action and some game developers claim that its processing power might even exceed that of the PlayStation 3! If so, do you think Folding@Home or any other distributed computing projects will be released for the Nintendo 3DS like it was on PlayStation 3? I think the only limitation would be, assumming its processing power is around that of the PlayStation 3, the amount of RAM the system has.
