This is a tough decision to make, OP.

I guess if I had to pick I'd have to choose The Boss (AKA The Joy) from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, simply because I love strong female leads and her touching backstory really drew me into the game. The mother-son bond between she and Snake was very well done.

It would be really nice if Mr Kojima could give The Boss her own game, as I think that her past would make for a very compelling gaming experience, but it probably won't happen now that we're getting Metal Gear Rising.

Oh well, one can only hope...

Sonic is still my fave, especially with Generations closing in on us all.

Probably the Mask controlling this guy. The voice actor really outdid himself.

There aren't a lot of characters that really stand out to me in videogames. The only other contenders for me were Weiss, Monkey and Seigo Saiga (Nier/Enslaved: Odyssey to the West/Siren: Blood Curse).

Fallout: New Vegas. Its part of the Fallout series, revitalised by Bethesda when they relased Fallout 3 a few years ago.

If you're into post apocalyptic shooters, Fallout 3 is the way to go, Fallout: New Vegas is more Western themed.
