What do you guys think about Eden Eternal? It's really easy for me to run and it seems decent. Aeria Games itself I've heard bad things about though, lots of dysfunction from them, but Eden Eternal seems decent at least.

Only cons I can see is you can't wear your armor for everyone to see, only your weapon. All costumes are IM based, but you can make them look a bit different from other people with color changes on three different areas of the costume... And you can buy costumes from other players with in game currency.

I've played Dragon Saga. I quit it though. Figuring everything out like where to go, level, find quests and what not seemed unorganized. It was also difficult finding people to party with, they seemed to not want to talk or do anything with someone. I couldn't find my way in the game so I just quit after level 14 or so I think. The population should be a bit larger now, since the Asian version was recently closed. Many of them have migrated to the NA servers. Another thing I don't like is how mostly young kids play the game, at least that's what it seemed like to me.

A few things:

1) I'd rather not play a point and click combat game, but I'll do whatever, if you can get more people on board.

2) How does the combat and part synergy get later in the game? The only thing point and clicks are really good at is complex party synergy.

3) There was a recent, large patch to dragon saga that (series of links time!) updated the graphics and mapping and navigation interface, and added a new combo system.

4) With the asian population migrating in and starting with a WP guild, the party situation should be improving.
I'm not really interested in Dragon Saga. Seems too fantasy/kiddie looking looking on it now and I was never a fan of the targeting in it for battling, but if you guys decide to form a group and play I hope you all have fun together.

About Eden Eternal, I've played it off and on but I'm not well versed in the gameplay. It's similar to many point and clicks... Click or auto target a character, use your skills through hot keys, that kind of thing, with a few twists... They have an interesting dual class system, which allows you to switch to different classes in the middle of a fight. It takes a little skill, but it's no manual dodge, block type of skill. They have some good wars, an active community, PVP, PVE... but overall similar to most point n clicks. I'm not a big fan really, it was just an idea. I haven't really given it a good chance, or progressed to the higher levels.

Holy crap, because my ram is partly damaged, I might not be able to play this game...

Well, I doubt I won't. But I'll download it later and give it a run, if I get the time.

=/
One person ready for one game, a second ready for a second, and I don't want to commit without three people from WP. We need to hit that power number.

For the record, my wife is in once we get something picked out. I just want that power number of unusuals for a base.

I wish Atlantica wasn't Nexon. Even if it's good now, it'll be P2W in a year and a half. =\

Sad, but true. Anyone know if Vindictus ever became that way?

I don't think so, but it's gorgeous. I could never play it xd

Yeah, vindictus, is a bit heavy on the machine, when it doesn't even need to be.

A quick question: Why is it called Dragon Saga when it's called Dragonica Online elsewhere? Is Dragon Saga just the American version then? Or overseas version?

It's to differentiate the new WarpPortal incarnation from the THQ version that was mismanaged into the ground. THQ was also an american version.

Wait... my overseas friend just downloaded and installed Dragonica Online instead of Dragon Saga by mistake. Does that mean there's two American copies of this game?

It probably means they downloaded the gpotato european version.

Ah. She did mention GPotato. Hopefully this will be cleared up tomorrow.

Btw, we completely forgot something important. Times!

What times do people have to play? If we're going to play, we should find a schedule. If we keep playing, we should get some IM info and make a bigger calender...

1) I think we should get more people on board and pick a game before we worry about schedules.

2) My schedule is totally erratic. My wife works irregular hours and, once I replace my vital documents that I lost moving across country, I'll be working two jobs with irregular hours.

Yeah, schedules are going to be the hardest. Though, I'm sure once we get started playing, we'll have less trouble with it, as people naturally get on to play together.

I can recommend a few games. However, my computer is not up to spec with the latest gear at all, so the newer games are probably out of my league. I would also like my overseas friends to be able to play with me, which means the requirements shouldn't be too high for me, still. =P

Yes it is. =D

Now suggest a game. `-`

I wish there was an official Pokemon MMO. All of the unofficial ones are just a mess compared to any real MMO.

Now that would be awesome! Has there been any progress in picking a game? I'm still interested if a game is decided on. I have an idea in the pipeline if the MMO thing doesn't go to plan.

Funnily enough the new pet battle system in WoW is about as close to a pokemon mmo has we will probably ever get. There is a type tree with strengths and weaknesses, you can capture wild pets of the same species with varying stats and they learn moves that do offensive damage, heal, etc. There is also a pokedex style journal with flavor text for each pet. There are npc trainers for you to battle. Sadly you can't rebattle them (at least not yet) but you can challenge other players. Cute midi style Warcraft 2 music plays while you battle as well

You get 3 pets instead of 6 though. Its not available on live yet either and won't be until the big 5.0 patch (in September most likely). Its pretty fun though, I have to fight myself not to get on the beta and do more stuff because I'll lose all my progress when it goes live.
