I put so many hours into Civ II back in the day! I was totally addicted!
I'm completely addicted. I first started with Freeciv during my uni days, which apparently was based on Civ II. Then I found Civ IV and have been hooked ever since.
One more day now ...

Totally was an addict on civ II and civ III as well as civ revolution for ps3. The ps3 version was fun because it was very streamlined and the civ games wore my attention span down as you were managing 70 cities.
My computer would not run the new one else I might get it

Civ IV? I loved Babu Yetu! Epicist theme tune ever!
I loved that theme song, it's so iconic.
I was hoping for something like that in Civ V. No matter, Christopher Tin is back composing the soundtrack for Civ VI. He composed the new main theme song, called Sogno di Volare ("The Dream of Flight" in Italian).

Yeah, my freeciv games would have way more cities than I could ever possibly need. Luckily you could make a long production queue, and then assign it to all your new cities and just forget about them.
Also, I made sure my current laptop had a discrete graphics card just so I could play games like this. My old computer had an integrated graphics card, and it would crash after a couple of dozen turns of Civ V.

Civ Revolution too. I used to play on X360!
Its simplicity made it more addictive, yet there was plenty of strategic variety amd challenge. I wish theyd do another... That one Id be all over the day it came out.

I bought Civ Revolution for iOS a few years ago. It was nice to have on my phone while I was out, but in the end I preferred simpler games for my phone. Nice game, although I imagine the console versions would be even better.

Okay, I'm officially addicted to Civ 6 now that it's been released. I spent all of last weekend playing it and getting used to the new game mechanics.
Overall Civ 6 is starting off better than Civ 5 did. Can't wait to see what the expansion packs add to it.

I have civilization V either the gold edition or game of the year edition basically one of the ones with various extensions and such included...don't feel like digging up the box at the minute to check. But yeah I enjoy it, still not very good at it but it has a lot of stuff going on in it so it would make sense it takes a while to get the hang of it.

I am enjoying Sid Meier's Civilization VI, the new user interface has made the game more accessible to a wider audience and the emphasis on city management has definitely added a new layer of depth to the game.

Yeah, I generally like all the changes to the game. It certainly makes you think about where best to place your cities, and I like how they interact/depend on their local environment more. I'm always thinking about placing a city where there'd be ideal districts in a few thousand years time. I've even gotten used to the art style in the game. On the other hand, I'd like to see though is the return of Diplomatic Victories (or even just a World Congress) in the expansions, as well as allowing production queues in cities again.
...
One thing I especially like is how the music for each civilisation evolves over time. For example, Greece has the same theme from Civ 5 ("Epitaph of Seikilos"), but it evolves from a simple tune in the Ancient/Classical eras, then becoming a bit more complex in the Medieval/Renaissance eras, evolving into a full orchestral piece in the Industrial/Modern eras, before changing into a more modern (almost Hollywood) song in the Atomic/Information eras. It's really quite nice.

Civ V I think is my third most played game behind Rock Band and Pokemon. Best Civ is Hands Down Austria, because it's really cute to marry off your princesses and princes to Argentina, Israel, Sri Lanka, and then go to space!
Also, what's your best Civilization story? For me it was probably that same game where I was Austria and won science, though I might go into more detail later.

The first new DLC civ has been released for Civ 6: Poland, led by Jadwiga.
They've got bonuses related to Holy Sites and trade, plus a limited Culture Bomb for encampments and forts. Not too bad, all up. The Aztec civ becomes available to all players later this month, too. Plus there have been a few minor changes and some new city states added (including Auckland, a city I was in just over a week ago ).
