Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse for Sega Genesis. Of course most people didn't take Disney-themed games very seriously until Kingdom Hearts or Epic Mickey. My brother naturally didn't like a "pansy mouse" being a game protagonist, but I thought it had all the charm and beauty of the classic cartoons.

I think they made a remake for the PC. I saw it on YouTube and it drove me nuts the way other people seemed to think it ripped off the plot from Banjo-Kazooie when it's more like the other way around, and the collecting the seven gems of the rainbow from Sonic's Chaos Emeralds. The game actually came out *before* Sonic, okay??

Hey, that's Grim Fandango. :D I'll honestly admit that I've never played it, however.

Codename Steam...great game, yet it seems to be doing rather poorly.

It's Mario Kart with real cars, how can you go wrong?
It's single player was disappointment but multiplayer was a lot of fun and in a time when mutlplayer is all that matters to a lot of people (but not to me), I don't understand how this game didn't do fantastically.

Demons Souls. Everyone loves Dark Souls and Bloodborne (I do too) but nobody ever acknowledges Demons Souls which pretty much started it all. Demons Souls is a great game.

I have ALWAYS loved this game, ever since it came out originally.....

I still occasionally have a go at it, just to replay it.
I love it...

Kirby Air Ride seems underrated. I know only one person who plays it and I don't know if they still play it.

Hexen and King's Field (King's Field 2 in Japan), both on the PS1.

I would say the Earth Defense Force games... but putting aside my gleeful slaughter of all alien invaders with destructible surroundings and infinite rocket ammo they are actually pretty bad and deserve their ratings.

Kirby Air Ride is one of my favorite GameCube games. Alien Hominid, Soul Calibur 2 and Resident Evil 4 are my other favorites.

Back on topic: Is it just me or does Soul Calibur seem not to get much attention when it comes to the entire fighting game genre?

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Spec Ops: The Line and Deadlight are good games with psychological thriller aspects, similar to Alan Wake or Max Payne.

If you like multiplayer PC games, Chivalry medieval warfare and Guns of Icarus online are a couple of hidden multiplayer gems. Chivalry is on sale on steam this weekend and it is a fun game.

If you're into strategy, Supreme Commander and Sins of a Solar Empire are great strategy games, overlooked in favor of bigger titles like Civilization and Galactic Civilizations.

Andretti Racing on the PS1 was fun and challenging.
