This theme is pure badass...

Nothing unexpected. The original Final Fantasy soundtracks (from I through to IX) are records that I return to again and again, and it's a shame that FFVII's soundtrack is going to be updated for the upcoming remake. I prefer Uematsu's music when it's unorchestrated.

There's a Kate Bush song called 'All We Ever Look For' where the underlying arrangement, from what I presume is a synthesizer, sounds as if it would fit into the established FF worlds very comfortably, especially IX's. One for a future "Music that sounds as if it could be in a Final Fantasy game" thread, which is actually more promising than it seems.

Shadowlord from NieR is an amazing piece.

Coils of Light from Dragon's Dogma is also pretty grand.

Of course if I were to mention classic there's so many from both Earthbound and Chrono Trigger I would just write out the albums!

Every Shinobi game I've played has at least a few good jams

Listened to that one alot lately, it does have a "holiday" feel to it dosen't it?
Hope one day i may be able to play that on the flute.
