I heard a funny story from my husband about how police have been called to parks because they heard people fighting there but it wasn't a fight, it was just people playing with their phones and they were trying to capture a Pokemon. Poor police.

Pick which ever one you want... There is no bad choice.

Catching new Pokemon grants you a extra 500 EXP on top of the 100 EXP for catching.
If you evolve a Pokemon you get 500 EXP, if it evolves into a Pokemon you don't have in your Pokedex you get the EXP for a new Pokemon too making it 1000EXP

Also you get 50 EXP for each Pokestop you visit and if you throw a perfect ball you get 100 EXP if you catch it.
There are other ball bonuses too.

It's out in the UK now, and even though I've never played any of the other games before, I thought I'd get it cause it looked like fun. I haven't really tried anything with it yet though. I might go for a walk tomorrow. Only problem is, I need to get the bus to get to places I want to go, and I like to listen to music, which makes bus rides less boring, but I don't know how to turn off the game's sound, plus it might drain the battery faster. I'll just have to see how it goes.

Also, for some reason when I first tried it, it didn't show anything in AR mode, it only showed things when AR was turned off. Anyone else have this?

I'm finding it easy to talk to other players. I'm visiting my parents in a small town, and I put up a lure. It wasn't like CA, but within a few minutes a car pulled up. The person inside called friends in the neighborhood. We talked a little, and they told me where to find lots of stops.

We have a common interest. As long as I don't get too intense, it works. I am looking towards making connections through this game.

I have played Pokemon GO. Remember I've told everyone on this forum about Pokemon is my childhood game and anime since 1998? I would like to thank with Satoshi Tajiri for making Pokemon due to being autistic game developer from Japan.

Game is a battery hog. Stop other apps from running in the background, turn off the music and sound effects, and turn on Power Saving. You can access those settings from the upper right corner of the pokeball menu.

Power Saving will dim the screen if you turn the phone upside down. Putting the screen brightness on auto seems to help a lot on my Samsung.

Also turn off WiFi if out of range.

I swear I must be the only one that doesnt understand the appeal of this game. Despite liking Pokemon in general.

I mean, it just seems like you dont actually DO very much in it. Collect Pokemon by walking around, so that you can... what, exactly? I know the game HAS a combat system, but what I've seen of it looks mostly braindead.

Is there something I'm missing with this one?

I just like that I have a reason to go out again. Not long before this game came out, I was bored and wanted to go out but at the same time I didn't because I was tired of going to the same places on my own. Now I have more motivation. I'm going to go to the park later, I haven't been to it in months.

It's uncertain whether those Poodle idiots actually crashed the servers. Such a phenomenal level of interest probably looks a lot like a DDOS attack. Even so, I expect that they'll pay for messing with the weekend plans of a number of more sophisticated hackers.

i know most of us don't like Justin Beiber....but i read on yahoo news....that he was part of this Central Park group....and he wasn't disguised at all, but no one knew he was there cuz they were too busy trying to find Vaporeon....LOL that just made me laugh!
