I wanted a copy of FFTA, but no one sells GBA games.

I had to get a ROM of it and play it on an emulator.

Ooooohhhh, I didn't know that was possible. Thank you for enlightening me. :D

I'm what, in the final stages of completing FFXII. The Henne Mines phase 2 dig is unlocked, and I'm currently levelling up. There's a few weapons and accessories I'd like to acquire, and my main characters are all level 70+. After that, Bahamut here I come!

Hoo boy, Zodiark's a pain. I've acquired every Esper except him.

Front Mission kicks ass, real world clancyesque storylines with mechs and decent battle systems awesome!
Anyone play Xenogears, no Xenosaga, there's so many cutscenes that I could barely call that a game :x

Final Fantasy 7 is dear to my heart. It holds so much emotion for me. If you loved the soundtrack for that game like I did, then you owe it to yourself to check out Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream, which is free remix album by ocremix.

I already posted this on a thread of its own but nobody responded so I thought it would go well here... the following clip is to the myspace page of a guy who did two video clips called 'Dead Fantasy' which show very well choreographed fight scenes between the girls of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and Dead or Alive. They're very good and sure to interest people who have posted in this thread.

Just finished watching those "Dead Fantasy" videos. Talk about amazing. That's talent right there.

Final Fantasy VI (III in the US) is my favorite. I still have one of the original SNES cartridges for it. it's one of my most prized possessions.

VII was ground-breaking I'll give it that, but all the other ones after have been hit or miss for me. the PS2 ones i especially don't enjoy. and all the spin-off games (X-2, Dirge of Cerberus, etc) seem more in love with their cutscenes than actual gameplay. i mean MGS3 had long cutscenes but the gameplay was exemplary. Dirge of Cerberus' gameplay was almost insultingly bad.

I'm getting X for my friend's birthday. Judging from the amount of people on here who like it, I'm sure it's a good game.

Final Fantasy IV was the best of them all, imo. Of course, with the original US release as Final Fantasy II it was even better, if only for one line:

Tellah: YOU SPOONY BARD!

Full of win. And it easily had the best combination of gameplay and storyline, with just enough sidequests to keep you interested, but without actually driving you insane from the tedium. It also had Rydia, who was my first pixelated crush and will always be the hottest video game girl in my mind.

It was the perfect game, with FFVIII and FFXII tying for last place in the series for completely different reasons.

help me out with something.

my favorite FF games are 6, 9, and 12.

most of my friends however are all about 7, 8, or 10.

am i alone here or does anybody else like the ones i like? i feel they're very underrated.
