Okey-dokey, here's something interesting: a video of the Final Smashes in English.

I noticed that they dubbed the following characters (characters I haven't mentioned, but who speak in English in the earlier video, aren't included. This means Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, and Captain Falcon):

*Pit (it is hard to tell what he's saying, but he has a lower pitched voice than the Japanese version. I think he says, "Flying troops, Move Out!"

*Meta-Knight (it's obvious that he says "Know my power.")

*Fox (as the voice actor sounded different in Melee, I get the feeling that for the Melee characters, they used the Japanese actors, but for the Adventure mode cutscene, they used the American voice actors)

*Falco (Love his little sarky "Personally, I prefer the air.")

*Wolf (His comment about wanting to 'have fun in this thing' is pretty funny. I haven't played StarFox in ages, and dunno if it's the right voice, but it sounds right)

*Pokemon Trainer (I also assume that the Pokemon will also be voiced by the American equivalents)

*Lucario (Sounds very sinister, doesn't he?)

*Jigglypuff (No surprise there)

*Ike (I cannot say this for sure, but he seems to be voiced by an English-speaking native, as I am certain no Japanese voice actor would say 'Great Aether' like that, well, not so well pronounced)

*Solid Snake (Well, no surprise, but he seems a little more cheery than how David Hayter usually portrays him)

*Sonic (No surprise. Love his taunts)

Well, let's hope all the characters mentioned on this thread are in the next Smash Bros.

*Sniggers.* Somehow, I don't think the Doctor and the Master will quite make it.

Gray Fox? He was an Assist Trophy, but...

Alright...

NAME: Gray Fox

ORIGIN: (in Cyborg Ninja form, MGS1. In first appearance, Metal Gear)

BACKGROUND: A German-Vietnamese child soldier, Gray Fox was rescued by Big Boss when Big Boss still called himself Naked Snake. The two encountered each other again in South America, as Gray Fox was now a 'ninja' assassin called Null. The two became mercenary comrades, and during fighting in Zimbabwe, Gray Fox adopted a young girl whose parents he had accidentally killed in a friendly fire incident (see the MGS comic for details). Gray Fox, whose real name was Frank Jaegar (or Frank Hunter), became part of Big Boss' FoxHOUND, and was sent on a mission to Outer Heaven to find intelligence on Metal Gear. He was captured, and rescued by comrade Solid Snake. 4 years later, Jaegar joined Big Boss at Zanzibar Land, and piloted the new Metal Gear model designed by Dr Pettrovich Madnar. He fought Snake both in Metal Gear, and in a minefield. Snake was the narrow victor, but Gray Fox's mutilated body was saved and revived by FoxHOUND scientists who used him as a guinea pig for gene therapy techniques and cybernetic enhancement. Now he is loose in Shadow Moses Island, determined to have one last showdown with Snake.

MOVESET:

B: Power Blaster. Remember that blaster he used to take out Metal Gear Rex's radome? This thing is slow firing, and has recoil, but packs a wallop.

Side-B: Hunter's Slash. Like Marth/Roy's Side-B, but requires faster combo pressing.

Up-B: Ninja Jump. Grey Fox disappears and reappears a short distance away. Should he encounter enemies during his jump, he'll take them with him and perform a series of slashes.

Down-B: Energy Field. In the original version of MGS, Gray Fox, just before you finished him, was surrounded by an energy field. Causes electrical damage. More powerful the more hurt Fox is.

Final Smash: Final Slash. Like Ike's Great Aether, if Gray Fox hits with his initial attack, it happens. Fox will zip around the arena, hitting all enemies in range with slashes from his sword. Damage inflicted is dependent on Gray Fox's own damage level.

TAUNTS: "Snake..."

"Now we fight as warriors!"

"Make me feel alive again!"

During one or more of these taunts, he opens his faceplate.

VICTORY: "Only in battle does my soul find respite."

"For Naomi!"

"I fight for what I believe in."

One of them. Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Legend of Zelda as well. Not to mention Metroid, especially the Metroid Prime games.

I like Zelda, Metroid and Final Fantasy as well. Not too keen on the others though.

He was not based on Ash, but the pokemon trainer (Red) from Fire Red/Leaf Green

Anyways, Simon Belmont or any other Belmont should of been in it.

Special - Dagger
Down Special - Holy Water
Side Special - Cross
Up Special - Axe
Final Smash - Item Crash

really? they both have the vest jacket and jeans and the same looking hat.

i guess the anonymous figure is more friendly to sales since it allows the person to be "you" and "you" catch 'em all.

I think that's the idea. That also explains why your character doesn't talk.

Like Link or Samus Aran, or Chrono (Chrono Trigger) or Serph (Digital Devil Saga). Oh, and Gordon Freeman.
