My local public library doesn't limit itself to just books, they also have a small collection of movies and console games there. Usually they're older titles that Gamestop wouldn't accept for tradeback so the original owners donated them to the library. Imagine my surprise when I found a copy of Skyrim for Xbox 360 there.
I've been wanting to try Skyrim ever since I found out that it was developed by the same studio that made Fallout 3 and that it was essentially the same style of gameplay (the only exception of course is that one game takes place in post-apocalyptic Washington, D.C., and the other takes place in a dragon-scourged fantasy kingdom based off of medieval Nordic Europe). I really couldn't care less about all of the awards it's received but I do like the free-roam adventure RPG genre, whether it's sword & sorcery (Skyrim), modern/shooter (Fallout), or even futuristic space fighter (Freelancer).
Unfortunately, it has quite the hefty price tag at Gamestop, which is why I'm glad the library had a copy. I'll probably play it until I have to return it and then keep my save file, so that I can buy the game in the future and continue the tale of the Dragonborn from where I left it off. (FUS RO DAH!! ! lol)
