Soothing and empowering.

A great remix. I'm a sucker for a good guitar solo.

I like most of the Zelda stuff, also some from Oblivion and Mario (especially the Mario game where you start at Yoshi's island, I forgot the name), but in the Pokemon games there is a lot of great stuff. For example this one:

I could listen to it for hours... :D
Or the one when you fight Kyogre is also great. I think the Pokemon Sapphire music is much better than the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum music. Silver and Crystal were also great (can't wait to hear them again tomorrow when I buy HeartGold :D )

League_Girl, I love the music from Kirby 64 too! We could be best friends.

Anyways, I couldn't decide what my favorite music from Super Smash Bros. Brawl was, so I posted my two favorites.

Also, I wil never forget my favorite track from the original Paper Mario

The musical scores from Final Fantasy and the old Pokemon games will never die. I was disappointed to realise that I probably won't be battling a Team Rocket grunt after getting the GB Sounds item in SoulSilver Version... ohh, my life. :(

One of the more recent games I have purchased for myself is "Beyond Good and Evil" the music in it is a unique international buffet of different cultures and genres.

The theme of the ship Invincible from Final Fantasy III. It's a powerful piece of music that moves me to tears every time. Below are both versions: the version from the original NES game and the version from the Nintendo DS port, respectively. I plead that you will listen to the NES version first, so that the DS version will sound even more amazing.

Here's a tissue. :)

Machinarium has one of the best gaming soundtracks I've come across for ages. I tend to listen to this one when I feel a need to calm down:
