Probably pong. Although it could have been Space Invaders. I remember when the first machines arrived in the shopping malls. It was in the middle of the mall floor, not in an arcade.

maybe pac man at the arcade? The first nintendo game I played was spy vs spy or duck hunt or mario bros. (one of the three), and on original sega game would be double dragon. I think pac man was the first overall tho.

For me, my first console was the Atari 2600. I had Pac-Man, Asteroids, Missile Command, Ms. Pack Man, Combat, Space Invaders, and Grand Prix.

hmm, the earliest game I remember playing was Galaxians, on the ZX81. That'd be back in... 1982 or 1983. Wasn't long after that I moved to the Spectrum and games like Skull and 3D Deathchase. Fond memories of Pyjamarama, Jet Set Willy, and all the rest on the old squishy-keyed Spectrum.

After that, it was onto the BBC, then Amstrad, Sam Coupé, and AtarI ST before reaching the PC. First PC game I ever played was Megarace, because it came with the pooter (We bought a Packard Bell). At the time, I remember being blown away by the graphics, and the concept of full motion video in a game (the delightful "host" Lance Boyle).

Will, how times have changed!

Either Sonic 2 or Phantasy Star 4 for the Sega Genesis. Can't recall which came first.

When I was a little tyke I played Wheel of Fortune and some other game show I don't remember on a monochrome computer. Later on I played Mario/Duck Hunt (I never got by the third level of Mario, or the first level past the warp zone when I was a young kid). Next was Roger Clemens MVP Baseball (I stunk, I still do in fact). My next game, and the first video game I really got addicted to was TECMO Super Bowl.

My first Sega Genesis games were Sonic the Hedgehog, and Joe Montana the crazy talking football game. I played the former a lot more then the latter. My first non-monochrome computer game was a terrible Ninja Turtles game.

I have also gotten a Dreamcast (some football game), Playstation (Crash Bandicoot), and Playstation 2 (a basketball game). I got only a combined total of four dreamcast and playstation games.

Mine is exactly the same! My cousins bought it for me and my little brother.

My second was Sonic the Hedgehog 2, then Action Fighter, all for SMSII. I have the emulations, and boy aren't the memories good!
