Limbo of the Lost. But you'll cry for different reasons.

Soo...I'm back on the WoW. Dinged 80 yesterday on my healadin.

I found a new tear jerker: the story of Crusader Bridenbrad.

He dragged over a dozen men to safety from the Scourge, but became infected with the plague in the process. The quest chain sends you to seek remedies from Remulos in Moonglade(who sends you into the Emerald Dream) and the dragon Alexstrasza. Both of these remedies fail to remove the plague from the Hero.

You head back to Tirion Fordring(back from exile, heading up the Argent Crusade- the combined forces of the Knights of the Silver Hand and the Argent Dawn). Tirion sends you to Shattrath to "speak" with the Naaru A'dal, who then sends you once again to Bridenbrad. When you talk to Bridenbrad once again, A'dal and two lesser Naaru appear with a beam of light that Assumes the Crusader into paradise.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Also, I would have to say a certain Fallout 3 quest (I think it was Waters of Life or something), as well as a lot of others that I will list now.

-What happens to Rhyme in TWEWY
-The death of Yuri's father in FFCC: Ring of Fates
-The death of the secretary in Trauma Center

And some other things that I can't remember.

BioShock has a couple of scenes that are emotional.

Fire Emblem is kind of upsetting when I lose a character I like in battle.

Metal Gear Solid - Sniper Wolf's death

Metal Gear Solid 4 - When Crying Wolf is carried away by that wolf, and Otacon says 'Welcome home Wolf'. That just kills me every time ^_^;;

ahaha. sniper wolfs death got me a bit aslo. this was prolly one of my top fav games ever to, right up there with shenmue if you remember that one.

p.s. which one was twin snakes? was that the one with that blond haired raiden(sp?) guy that no one liked?

I would never cry over a videogame or movie for that matter but I'd have to say Shadow of the Colossus had a very depressing ending. What happens to the main characters sucks after all he went through....

That is the only game that has ever caused me to cry(As a result of the story). I made the stupid mistake of, after getting stuck in the final chapter, watching the ending on youtube so I wouldn't have to worry about running into any more spoilers. If I had been playing it then I would have probably felt sadder, but would have enjoyed it more.

This might be a slight spoiler, but I wish there was no key items pocket so I could give the franklin badge to another party member and get a different ending. Just goes to show how strong the character development is in the mother/earthbound series.

As far as other games, Bioshock was sort of depressing in a way that there are times when I just cant play it, and back in mother 3 there were plenty of sad moments.

Pokemon Gold made me cry, but that was only because the battery in it died very prematurely so I couldn't save, so it doesn't count

Twin snakes was the remake of MGS1 for the Gamecube. Raiden da bishie was in MGS2

Can't think of any time a game made me mist up, although I was a little saddened by what became of Big Smoke at the end of GTA: San Andreas.

Emotional reactions, sure - I durn near jumped out of my chair several times during the mission to recover the pendant from the Ocean Beach Hotel in Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines (the place is abandoned, half the lights don't work, spooky music ongoing; you enter one of the rooms, and suddenly everything goes dark, you're battered by flying objects, and when the lights come back up, the words GET OUT are carved into the wall above the bed...).

Playing WoW, the first time I got to the mission "The Embalmer's Wife", when I realized that the old hermit was in fact the villainous Embalmer, and had sent me running all over Duskwood risking my life to get him the components he needed to make a monster to terrorize Darkshire, I was genuinely angry, and so was my wife (who was also playing). We didn't get to bed until 2am, because we had to take the SOB down. I also got chills from the backstory of Stalvan Mistmantle. (I've only reached just over 30th level, so there are probably more stories like that waiting for me - I have been spoiled on the fact that one of the King's advisors in Stormwind is in fact the dragon Onyxia, because I've been in Stormwind when someone else has finished the mission.)

The endgame in Knights of the Old Republic II: the Sith Lords could have been moving, if LucasArts had only given the game's developers enough time to finish out the plotlines they had in mind (for instance, the final confrontation between the remote and G0-T0 - there must have been something more to it, because otherwise it was just stupid; also, there should have been much more in the final confrontation between the bounty hunter and her Wookiee arch-enemy - he hated her for making him owe a life-debt...).

How could you feel sorry for Big Smoke? He may of regretted his actions moments before he died but he and Ryder did screw CJ over.

Lets see here

Mass effect: 2 missions in particular, The entirety of the "I remember me" Quest, and the end of the virmire mission. Those of you who have played will know why, but both of those are a real punch in the gut.

The end of LoZ: twilight princess is also pretty sad, knowing you'll probably never see midna again, after you've spent the game getting to like her, is pretty saddening.

There have been some emotional moments in WoW:

I was rather touched, yet not quite mist eyed:

- The Nelf in Azuremyst that had his family massacred by the moonkin, then is reunited with his daughter that managed to escape.
- The story of Morgan Ladimore where he goes mad upon finding his family dead and kills a bunch of innocent people, then becomes the ghoul Mor'ladim.

Mist eyed, feeling surreal, partially admiring:

- Duskwood: The story of Jitters and how he witnessed The Black Riders slaughter Sven's wife and kids, and the bravery of the wife when she tried - almost successfully - misleading the Black Riders in order to save her children. So close, yet not quite!! That aspect made a bigger impact of tragedy on me.

Sobbed (not downright Niagara, but yes, a little):

- At the sight of the crocolisk captive in a cage in The Swamp of Sorrows :'( poor little thing....
- At the sight of the little gryphon, Sharpbeak, captive in a cage in the Hinterlands, before I was able to release it...so sad, helpless, miserable and worn out looking, like he'd given up all hope..with his head on the ground, tilted, a tear in one eye...that really broke my heart :'(
Image
- Also, upon releasing Sharpbeak...he'll prawnce happily out of his cage out to his parents, and when they fly off the cliff he'll "chirp you goodbye"...aww!! ! So precious!! !...

...but I was drunk at these both incidents :D (yet the situations were quite moving also when reminiscing sober)! I believe that makes some difference (yeah, I like playing drunk) :p... but yes, I do generally have more sympathy towards animals than people.

Oh yes, another (drunken, touching occurrence): A quest by a certain Pamela's aunt's ghost to search for lil' Pam in Darrowshire, Eastern Plaguelands where she was hidden by the aunt with her trying to save themselves from the battle.
Upon approaching Darrowshire you'll find the village abandoned and demolished. The ghost of the little girl will be wandering around in a house which is stripped down to its bare frames....

"Hello. I'm Pamela, what's your name?"

"My auntie Marlene told me to stay here in our house because my father had to go and fight. My father's the bravest man in the whole world!
But I've been here for a long time, and he hasn't come for me. Sometimes bad people come and whisper to me and I want my dad to make them go away, but he's not here!
And sometimes when it gets dark I want to play with my doll but I can't because I left it in town.
Will you find my doll for me?"

so oblivious to her existential state...made me so emotional...she doesn't even know what's happened and is still so naive, innocent.. (in some ways even connected me emotionally to Aspie-traits) ...an undeserving victim of evil...
Eager to find her doll.. And I was very satisfied when delivering it to her... :>
