:-D I got my 3DS XL back from Nintendo repair centre today, and have eagerly acquired 'Attack of the Friday Monsters'.
It looks like it will be very enjoyable.

I don't remember, it's been too long.

Though I'm not even sure if I ever got 100%, unless you needed to in order to fight the final, final boss (which I know I did).

"The art of ink" for the 3DS ... this is really quite entertaining, and a highly original game.

I gave in to my fan of the series curiosity and bought "The House of the Dead 4" for PS3 on PSN a couple weeks ago... it was rather disappointing. Very easy, unimaginative, and boring environments, and skimmed through it in less than an hour. Also, the smg as your sole weapon in the game and requiring manual reloads makes it rather frustrating. When you shake the controller you lose your aim and sometimes break the controller calibration, and the smg as one might guess requires constant reload. So I have to use it with the stupid rifle attachment for it's pump reload to keep on aim, which I find the trigger less responsive than using the controller directly... and the series has always loved making special endings that happen when you don't get hit once, which is impossible with laggy shots when things are meant to be shot with immediate reflex. Also, the long length of the rifle doesn't go well with the controller that is meant to be held in your palm and respond to finer movements. So the way you move the gun has to be unorthodox (moving the gun straight and shifting side to side, up and down instead of pointing the barrel at the target) or you don't often shoot where you'd like, and it's because of this that it often loses calibration and you have to just rely on the screen cursor for where you're really shooting.

I'm at the point where I've acknowledged I only "really" liked the first two games (Three was okay), and they seem to be the only THOTD games that are rarely re-released... the first hasn't been re-released for home playing since Sega Saturn, though the second has been re-released for home on Dreamcast, Xbox Original, and the wii. I have the second game on dreamcast and xbox, but light guns don't work anymore with modern displays and I don't want to spend $150 on a wii just to purchase a $20 game :?

I already have a PS3 and the move peripherals solely for rail shooters... I wish they'd release the first two on PSN :(

Just got Batman Arkham Aslyum for $5 and Batman Arkham City for like $7.50 on Steam.

I believe I will pull the trigger on the 2DS/3DS/3DS XL by the end of this month and will get the new 3DS Zelda game that comes out next month.

That Wii U Zelda Wind Walker HD edition is awfully tempting for me as well.

It was "The Wolf Among Us"
This is an excellent and engaging game, created by the developers who made The Walking Dead game.
I'm eager for the next episode to be released, as the first one was really good.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe 8)

Before that, it was Steam sales on Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Teleglitch.

After trading in Metal Gear Rising(which didn't seem to last as long as I thought it would), I got EDF: Insect Armageddon, Dark Souls, and Blue Dragon.

EDF doesn't seem bad at all considering what it's a sequel to, but I've recently found out that there's going to be an EDF 2025(and is already out in Japan) that looks much closer to 2017, which I think despite it's flaws is more enjoyable than Insect Armageddon.

Dark Souls has been pretty great. I was worried I would not be good at it at all, but I've managed to make some progress. It reminds me of the Metroid games, particularly Prime 2, which intimidated me a lot but was so satisfying to get through. Of course here I guess it's a bit easy to kind of find cheap ways through it. I've had help from allies for all but the tutorial boss so far - I didn't even get a chance to attack the Taurus demon before it went down, but at least it seemed more like a fair fight fight with the Bell Gargoyles and the Capra demon. Have also had one white phantom seem to try to kill himself on purpose? Have had two invasions, with one I would think would be called a "twink" among Dark Souls fans; pretty much means he deliberately stayed a low level and just got high end equipment in order to harass other players that are new to the game. He somehow turned into this lizard or dragon kind of thing and could breathe fire. I didn't stand a chance. But the other invader put up more of a fair fight. We waved and bowed and after all that silliness we actually fought. Unfortunately I accidentally got Solaire angry by hitting him and was forced to kill him, and I still lost to the invader anyway. Should have just let Solaire kill me.

I guess other reasons it might not be impossible so far are that I've been grinding a hell of a lot for levels as well as upgrading all of my weapons and armor. I also got the Drake sword which is apparently a noob weapon. Definitely feels that way, but I'm not going to use something worse just because of that. I did learn about a lightning spear you could get in Sen's Fortress but I;m a long ways from there. I do have a +5 longsword which I'm going to hold on to until I can find the stuff to upgrade it even further. I tried killing the dragon on the bridge in Undead Parish but I don't seem to be able to. I've been told that you can shoot it in the back with an arrow from the tower where the gold knight is(and killing him was a great challenge in and of itself - I think I died three or four times to him), but maybe they were talking about the PC or PS3 versions because I'm using the 360 and the draw distance doesn't seem good enough to be able to draw the dragon on the bridge from the top of the tower? The extra souls would really be nice. I don't want to go to the Depths yet, nor Blighttown.

Blue Dragon has been incredibly easy and straightfoward. Seems like it'll still be fun though and I did hear it gets harder eventually. Need to finish Lost Odyssey which is apparently by the same people. Dunno which I like more yet. I do like the music, graphics, art design, characters, and story in Lost Odyssey more so far, but Blue Dragon seems to offer a more open world and I don't mind that it doesn't take itself too seriously. I like that the combat seems more complex in LO, but in BD you can set anyone to any class which I also like due to the freedom of it. Guess I'll have to finish both and see.

Dillon's Rolling Western. Club Nintendo is offering it as a reward this month =)

There's no demo or anything, and I've never played a tower defense game before, so I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. So far, I like it.
