Hey! Super Mario 64 was incredibly hardcore!

For what it's worth, any Mario is a casual game.

This further goes to prove my theory that any game labelled as "hardcore" isn't worth my time.

If Super Mario Sunshine, one of the most frustratingly freaking difficult games I've ever played, isn't considered hardcore, then count me out.

Just because a game is casual, doesn't mean it's crap. Personally, I've had more fun playing Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort than I've ever had playing some of the "hardcore" games such as Halo, Call of Duty (including Modern Warfare), Gears of War, God of War, Grand Theft Auto, and many others.

Has A Boy and His Blob lived up to the hype? :)

Halo, Gears of War, GTA, and God of War are all casual games...

It's semi-fun. It gets harder with each level, but it's pretty much the same routine over and over, collecting treasure chests. I used to love the original game as a kid, so I thought I'd reminisce with the remake. Resident Evil is far more enthralling...of course. I never thought I'd like a shooting game, but I'm really into it.

Here lies the problem.

The Wii was never designed for hardcore gamers.

Not every single video game player out there is going to be a hardcore fanatic, and nintendo realizes this. The Wii's target market is kids, families, and casual/inexperienced gamers.

I'm gonna go ahead and list every Wii game I own as of right now :
-Spyro: Eternal Night
-Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon

don't own either of these but have rented of themand want to buy it . Which is it that opens up with Spyro having to escape a huge monster demon dragon, I think, and you can switch between using him and a female dragon to whom he is chained that uses dark magic?

I myself currently own:
Wii Sports, Sonic and the Secret Rings, EA Active, My Fitness Coach, Rayman: Raving Rabbits, Rock Band 2(software and mic only, sold drumkit and guitar peripherals), Petz: Horse Club and Disney-Pixar Ratatoille

What about guitar hero? My family gave me a wii because I really liked that game. Of course it can be played with other systems. I've played rock band and guitar hero and like guitar hero better.
