As I said, I highly doubt any of the people who made those games know much if anything about autism, it's a relatively new field of knowledge, and most of those who do know attribute the disability stigma to it. Famous aspies are mostly inventors, writers, artists, philosophers, etc, ie they were real people.
As for fictional aspies, the closest I can really think of are all tv personalities who happen to have a lot of aspie characteristics.

Since they made Death Note into a DS game in Japan, I guess I could suggest L. Definitely the epitome of Asperger's characteristics. They even made a page about it too.

I might suggest Alucard from Castlevania, considering he doesn't talk much either, and doesn't display his emotions very well. Apparently, the other characters imply that he might not have liked killing his father, Dracula, but that emotion never displayed itself when Dracula did die. He was also devoted to destroying Castlevania, even if it meant killing Richter. The only thing that doesn't scream Aspie about him is he's actually elegant, not clumsy.

I would say Ryo Hazuki from the "Shenmue" series. He's not talkative, sort of shy, speaks very properly, monotone, and fairly robotic in his emotions. He also doesn't seem to have the best balance lol (you'll know what I'm talking about if you've played it).

I agree with this.

Hello?

Miles "Tails" Prower

Doesn't that just SCREAM AS to you guys? Especially in the Sonic Adventure series when he wasn't scripted and VA'd like he was a 4-year-old girl.

I like to think Squall, but I don't really believe that.
I do have a strange obsession with Squall. Though once you hit the third disk the whole game is ruined, plot: character, and gameplay.

FF8 story is perfect except for the whole amnesia thing and i wished they explained ultimecia's backstory more but i like FF8 story more than FF7 story because squall is a more believable character than cloud

I can't see any video game characters as being something other than normal.

Using a GF(Guardian Force) causes amnesia.

I'd like to throw in Marcus Fenix from Gears of War into this thread. He seems to have little regard for social skills, he is usually to the point, and doesn't really seem to display a lot of emotion.

Oh, and yes for Gordan Freeman. Barney, eh, so-so. I didn't get the feeling that he looked through you, but I saw the potential for it in the "A Red Letter Day" chapter when he seemed to display a lack for social skills when he pointed out his hatred for poor Lamarr whenever he saw it.

Just my two cents.

You know, the Tails thing may be right. For some reason, it keeps telling me he IS, but I can't put my finger on why.

Anyway, what about the R&D guy from Trauma Center UTK and SO? He was definitely Aspie-like.

You mean Victor? Yeah, he definitely seems aspie to me.

It may be how he was raised but I think 47 may have been genetically altered to have aspergers. He is not very social and prefers to be alone and reflect. Possibly a trait given to him on purpose to make sure he attains the perfect execution (marginal pun intended) and doesn't get any attention through socialising with people.

Has anyone played Okage: Shadow King. The hero is a boy named Ari who is considered a shy outcast in public. He is both bullied by the other boys in town and fails to get a date with a girl at the beginning of the game. He'll never show much emotion, in fact the shadow king posesses him because his soul seems "overshadowed." He is another one of those mute lead characters, like Crono or Serge, but there are many times throughout the game where you must decide by a three-way choice what he says to his party members. Choices usually range from uncaring to slightly caring. Not to mention, there are other weird characters in it too.
