I guffawed at the so many mentions of Skyrim...until I realized I'll only play it modded.
-I can't get into MMO's. I've tried WoW and am currently trying to learn Eve, but I'm still not feeling it.
-Assassin's Creed. Out of the series, I only really liked 2 and that was ruined by the ending. They already had such a cool sci-fi concept, but they had to make it more complicated with that ancient race crap. For some reason, they haven't been able to replicate the playability and smoothness of 2. Just look at Black Flag. While visually beautiful, it was unplayable. The combat system was terrible!
-Final Fantasy post FFX. Around the time Square merged with Enix, a lot of good folks who made FF feel like FF left the company. The series hasn't been the same since.
-Doom 3. All that hype about it being scary was disappointingly untrue. I got more scares from Bioshock.
-Well, it wasn't really well liked, but it still sucked... Alan Wake. I found myself yelling at the characters. Many eyerollings were had.
- Saints Row 4. I loved 2 and 3. In fact, they're some of my favorite games, but 4 missed it for me. They copied and pasted 3, took out the storyline and added aliens. They didn't even try to make a new game. I also really, really, really hated that after I conquered something, like say a building, it turned from red... to blue. BLUE! Blue is not a Saints color. Blue, specifically that shade and style of blue, belongs to the Deckers, one of the enemy gangs from 3. The city should have turned purple as I conquered it, dammit! Took away all the satisfaction.
- The Sims. I loved Will Wrights original idea of creating a social experiment/simulation. His games had some intellectual interest to them. However, EA stripped all that away. Now, it's just advanced Barbie play.
-Candy Crush or any game like it. It's Bejeweled. I can play for free elsewhere.
