Not just one of the best games I've ever played, nor the best soundtrack, nor the best remake, but also...entirely free! (Yes, even for the soundtrack);

This is another goody of mine;

Most of the Super Mario RPG soundtrack. Here's "Sad song" also known as Mallow's theme.

I remember playing FFX for the first time, and the immediate opening had felt a tiny bit underwhelming. Then this hit, along with the excellent FMV that plays along with it. I would never have expected anything metallic in a Final Fantasy game like that(I like metal, I should add), and to have this come out of nowhere was awesome. Couple it with that FMV, and at the end of it, I don't think I was in any doubt anymore. I HAD to keep playing. It blew me away.

The song itself is brilliant, from opening to ending. The opening instantly hooks me in, and the pounding guitar rhythm and drums are just so difficult for me to not bob my head to. I love the vocals and lyrics too. The way the singer belts out the words, and at the end is kind of barking out like a rabid dog really makes my blood course.

I tend to remember the lyrics: Go, into the sand, and the dust, and the sky. Go now, there's no better plan than to do or to die. I always think of the repeated line of "You, know, you, will", and I can't help but think it's like a taunt.(Which is very fitting)

The song overall, just feels like it takes me by the scruff of the neck, slaps me about, and gives me one heck of an adrenaline rush, all in the best possible ways. In the right mood it really psyches me up.

Hopefully no one minds me sharing some of my reasoning why I like it. If not, I'll have to post another some time.
