I'll add to that by saying Fallout 4. I am SO freaking tired of it. I've barely been over to friends' houses recently, and part of that is that that one game is all they've been doing since it came out. Tired of it!

The games I haven't played but have no interest in are
The Fallout series
The Call of Duty series
And GTA 5.

The games I have played and didn't like are:

Bioshock 1 & 2
Mass Effect
Outlast
Resident Evil 4
L.A. Noire
Borderlands
and Bully.

There's plenty more but these are the ones that I remember being popular.

Fallout 4 is a good example because it came out the same year as at least one genuinely solid, well-written open world game (not counting MGSV which might as well not have one) so its flaws were all the more obvious. Buggy, poorly written, ugly... it's just not compelling in the slightest. At the very least in a lengthy open world RPG you need a convincing setting but Bethesda hasn't been able to portray one with credibility since Morrowind.

Incidentally can someone please tell me why Pipboy has become some sort of nerd culture icon? There's nothing funny, interesting or creative about him. It's just irritating.

A lot of my friends and even some of my relatives really like Minecraft and I just don't get what the appeal is. I don't think I'll ever get what everyone else sees in it.

I am sick and tired of seeing Minecraft everywhere. I don't get the appeal of it either. It's just...walking around and building things in a world where everything's made of blocks. I've always found LEGO boring, so I'm not surprised I feel the same way about Minecraft.

Strangely enough, I actually really liked playing with Legos, especially Bionicles. I just saw more possibilities with them because of the fact that not all the pieces were blocks. There were plates, wheels, and even triangular pieces that could be used for wings. With Minecraft, it's all cubes, which I feel really limits one's creativity when you just have that one shape.

Whiled I loved Halos CE, 2, 3, ODST and even Wars, I do not like Reach or 4.

Reach was an unnecessary retcon and 4 was a total mess.

Also, I never got the appeal of zombie fighting games.

Hey it looks like we have similar disinterests. I don't care for any of those games either.

Not long ago I actually got Sonic Rush for the DS at the flea market for only 15$. It's supposed to be a great game, but I really suck at it and only play once in a while. I can't play it on my 3DS and I find the DS screens to be too small. I don't actually hate it, but it only holds my interest in small doses.

I guess I'm just not into platform games any more. I must be getting old. :(

Hmm, are you sure you didn't get a bootleg cart? Normal DS games should work fine on a 3DS.

I don't like shooty games or violent games. It's a fantasy RPG life for me!

Borderlands 1 and 2. It's not that I hate it, just...why? It's so boring, why do people love it so much?

MGSV. People seem to love it, but I found it kind of repetitive. It's not strictly a bad game, I actually quite like it, but again...why? It's pretty dull for the most part. I also heard that it's technically incomplete and doesn't have a satisfactory ending. Haven't quite got that far yet.

Games that I like? Well, Minecraft has a largely negative reputation as of late. I neither love it nor hate it (it comes and goes as it pleases, in my eyes), but there's little to actually hate about it. I guess you could call it boring or tedious, but that's an opinion and not really a fact. I believe it's mostly down to the community, since the majority is children and preteens. Again, not really a reason to hate something in my opinion. :|

Casual shooters, including Fallout 4.
