Quake II recently got updated to a remastered version on Steam just like Quake 1. That means it's now available on PS5. I gotta get my wallet.

Yup. I already had it (for free), and the update is free too. It's also on GoG, BTW.

Chatting with one of the devs about it right now.

I'm not a big Q2 fan, but that's a lot of cool new features: https://bethesda.net/en/article/6NIyBxa ... g-quake-ii

I did enjoy Q2 64 quite a lot, though. Unlike Q1 64, it's mostly a brand new game (kinda like DOOM 64 was), with a couple "remixed" levels here and there.

High on Life - ignoring the Justin Roiland controversy, I'm giving this game a fair shot.

New Tales From the Borderlands - I got this for less than five bucks. Five bucks or less is all this game is truly worth anyway. I've now completed my Borderlands collection. I'm not touching this one until I'm ready for it when I've completed all other games in the series on my YouTube channel and have had a few hard drinks.

I am downloading Separate Ways in RE4.

This is basically RE4, played from Ada Wong's point of view.

Underground Blossom - A new entry in the Rusty Lake series of games. It showcases Laura Vanderboom's childhood before she grew up to be tormented by a corrupted soul that would drive her to take her own life.

Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion thanks to the Steam shmup sale (though nearly none of the games featured were actually shmups...steam tags sure are great)

widely regarded as one of the best bullet hell shmups of all time, developed by a professional shmup player. It's fun but a complete run takes around 36 minutes, which is a bit daunting.

I rarely purchase video games nowadays, due to a binge period being long expired, and very limited interests.

Nowadays, sequels are only realeased every 15 years if GTA and TES (Elder Scrolls) are anything to go by. I think my most recent purchase of a game may have been in 2021, and not the best use of money either.

I may purchase The Sims 5 if it gets released before the end of the decade. But only if it runs in Origin.I am not downloading that disaster of a program which is supposedly the successor to it, which was possibly named by an 8 year old.

This is the issue I have. So few games do anything for me. I sold my Xbox to buy a switch purely to play Tears of the Kingdom which I found massively disappointing and now I'm looking through the Nintendo store and I can't find anything that remotely appeals to me. I'm too picky.

Quake III Arena - I have a feeling this'll get remastered in the future assuming Atari's acquisition of NightDive Studios doesn't prevent them from working on it.

I don't know, it's already been re-released like three times...
Has Quake Live been shut down already?

Of course, the devs aren't saying peep, though...so we'll just have to wait and see :)

I'm just hoping it'll be given controller support.

Q3A has had controller support from day one o_O
What kind of controller are you having trouble with?
I don't have Q3A installed ATM, but as long as Windows recognizes it, the game should be able to as well.
