Has anyone ever gone to one of these or something similar to it?
I went to one yesterday with my husband and it was filled with booths and video games and consoles. They were selling games from Wii and under. No PS3 games or PSP or any new games. They even had Nintendo Power magazines and other gaming magazines and player's guides, game manuals, accessories, Nintendo merchandise. I saw a couple booths there from two stores i have went to. They join the gaming expo and run their booth there to sell their stuff from their store. They charged a entry fee and they had raffles and auctions to support the event so they can do it again next year. It was my first time going. They also had costume contests and game tournaments and a concert. Oh yeah I bought seven games and my husband only bought one. I also bought a Sega 32X. I want to go back next year. Sadly all the booths but one only took cash. My husband had to run to the 7 eleven twice for money (ATM there) and I made him do it for the exercise.
Earlier this month my hotel had some gaming event too. They had a bunch of booths in the parking garage and it was all anime stuff and video game shirts and merchandise, no games. On the ballroom level, they had gaming tournaments. I just watched these people play Super Smash Bros. Brawl during my breaks and looked at all the booths during my lunch break. Lot of people there were also dressed up as video game characters or anime characters.
